Delia Miller, the unlucky scholarship student.
That was the first thought of Devian when he saw the girl get down from the bus in his town. She looked exactly like she did all those years ago, beautiful and soft. She still had that regal charm to her when she was the Queen. Even in clothes that looked like a few years old, she had an undeniable glow to her.
And he hated her with all his heart.
Finally, after more than centuries his beloved Queen was reincarnated, the very Queen he swore to protect for life, the same he secretly loved and the same who cursed him for life with a dark power that destroyed his everything.
But unlike the Queen, this one was named Delia and looked lost and even heartbroken when she saw other students with their family and friends. She hid well for past years but now that she sent college applications all over, he found her. And a smile crept on his face realizing that this was just the beginning of her suffering. Seeing her heartbroken made him feel satisfied after all she did to him.

"I have sent the note to admission's office regarding the fees increment for that art student." Devian's trusted secretary, Paulo said.
He just nodded and continued looking at the details of the share market.
"Have you seen the work she submitted for the scholarship?" He asked and Devian shook his head in a no without even looking up.
"It is actually nice."
And that made him look up in anger.
"That is my decision to make Paulo." and with that Paulo know it was the end of discussion.
He has been around Devian for past twenty-five years, obviously, he noticed that Devian never aged, he never saw any baby pictures or even any pictures of his parents minus the painting of his family he hung in his bedroom.
And then he came to know when Devian decided to share his secret when Paulo was about to quit suspicious of the man he was working for. At first, he didn't believe but eventually with magic he daily saw, he realized that it was true.
He knew why boss was against the girl because of whom his own family and friends hated him and were scared of him, he had lived for centuries guarding darkest of power not trying to lose himself to it and became evil. He was alone for all this while and on the verge of insanity. He had no one to care for him or no one to free him from this. He was Atlas carrying the burden all alone and one of these days the loneliness might make him drop the burden and he will die underneath it affecting the world with it.
But now the Queen was reincarnated. He had the hope of giving her back the power even if it kills her and has the freedom to die again, give up the immortality and live his little time left in peace. Paulo knew that Devian was dangerous but he was here because he had seen the lonely man cry himself to sleep once in all those years.

Queen used his love for her and left him to suffer, Devian planned to do the same.
He was going to be her savior first and use all her fears against her.
So when the girl with the worst luck herself walked to his cafe, he felt glad that the luck was with him. Devian let out one of his pet snakes and as expected that freaked her out. In that matter she was a little different than the Queen, she lacked confidence and courage. She was easy to scare and that made it easy for him.
On a little more research from Paulo, he came to know that she lost her parents when she was young, had a lonely childhood. Her luck was a cause of pity and that she was short of money and had fear of fire, water, and thunder.
