It would have been better if dream ended, instead, it shattered.
The reality hit hard and Devian felt like Cinderella as the clock hit twelve and a scream echoed through the halls. A woman ran frantically out of the washroom and told the gathering about the dead body found.
The intensely kissed Delia came out of the trance and realized that someone was killed, again.
While Devian felt miserable at how greedy he could be and continue living in the town when he needed to remove all the darkness from here. But then he felt the tug on his sleeve and saw a shocked terrified looking Delia.
Her small form made him helpless.
But the dream ended now. And he needed to go, needed to leave this place. Needed to leave her because it was now impossible for him to hurt her without hurting himself. There will be a time when she will be put to trial and when her memories will return and he might get back to hating her.
But right now his care for Delia was more than hate for Queen.
"Delia, let me drop you home." He said in a serious tone his heart aching at what he was about to do.

After that the soul-searing kiss, Devian went silent on Delia.
And she felt weird standing in front of his painting in the gallery during her work hours there. The painting still made her emotional and she had no idea why but it wasn' that bad. Her heart would still ache but she didn't feel like crying.
"Hello, Delia." Paulo's voice greeted her from behind.
She jumped a little surprised at his greeting.
"Hi, Paulo." She smiled at him.
He was right now her sole medium to know about Devian. She could just go to his house but it was different now. She was letting Devian decide this. She didn't want to look like some clingy girl and she was scared that maybe Devian didn't like her that much.
"Can you help me with that painting?" He asked as he punched in the code for the glass container.
"Why? Are you changing it? I love this one though." She said hurriedly worried that this painting will be replaced by some other artwork as the centerpiece.
"No, Devian is leaving and this has to go with us." He said.
And Delia felt her heart drop.
"Leaving?" She hoped it meant vacation or something like that.
He can't leave, this whole university belongs to him.
"Yes, he is shifting to a different place for business purposes," Paulo added lamely.
He might be killed by Devian if he knew that Paulo told Delia about them leaving.
"Different place, like forever?" She asked tears threatening to form in her eyes.
Of course, he was too good to be true.
"Yes, Delia." He said and waited for her to get in panic mood.
Maybe try her best to stop Devian, cure him like Paulo hoped that she would.
"Oh, Okay. I wish him luck for his future endeavors."
Paulo was aggravated at Delia, at how she undermined herself. She was not even trying to put hope in her feelings for Devian and just letting him go. The pain was evident on her face but she gave him a small smile and left.
"Would you like to meet him before he leaves?" Paulo tried again.
"No thank you, Paulo. He must be busy packing up. I better not take up his time. And if he wanted to meet me he would have told me he is leaving." She said with slight bitterness when she knew she had no right.
