Sweet Friendships

We stay up all night,

Talking about everything.

We discuss world issues,

And hardly ever fight.

You've shown me new ways,

Ways to view our world.

There's so much to do,

When I spend time with you.

You've opened my eyes,

Given me hope.

I can give off no more sighs,

For I have no reason to mope.

I had caffeine,

And stayed up all night.

I've become kinder, less mean,

Now that you've shown me the light.

My favorite sound is,

Your deep voice.

I can't help but smile,

Because I know this is my choice.

I long to read the words you send,

Whether a poem or a dream.

I eagerly open your notes,

And my face starts to beam.

You really can make my day,

With your games of D&D.

Or your quiet demeanor,
