Lincoln sat in the corner, huddled under the blanket, hiding his form from the world, with his mother on the way, he wouldn't be able to hide for long, and he'd be the laughing stock of the vampires, and to make matters worse, If he couldn't change in time, the rest of his family would discover the supernatural world, and all the secrets they had been keeping, which would not be good.

Rita pulled into the driveway, and hurriedly entered the house, Ronnie-Anne spoke to her "were in the living room", she turned and walked in, noticing that Lincoln wasn't in the room,

Ronnie-Anne noticed the confused look on her face and pointed to the mess of blankets, she walked over and peeled them away, revealing her son, crying, and weak, she took him in her arms and hugged him close, calming him, his crying slowed to a halt, and she looked him in the eyes, "y'know, I didn't get it right at first either" she told him, trying to cheer him up

"how do I change back"? lincoln asked in a distorted tone, "and why is my voice so weird"?

"it's weird because your vocal cords probably started changing when you get good at it, you can change which cords you use, we just use human cords because it's easier to communicate with each other, and to change back is easy, you just need to focus on you, and nothing else, and you'll change back

"but it hurts when I change" Lincoln complained

"it hurt when I gave birth to Lori, Leni, luna, luan, and Lynn, but did I stop," she asked

"no" he admitted

"and you wanna know why," she asked

"why"?

because good things come with the bad ones, but you have to take the bad otherwise you can't have the good" she said

he nodded, and closed his eyes, focusing on himself, and nothing else, he felt himself changing again, but less pain, and more warmth, when he opened his eyes, he was back to his normal self Ronnie-Anne sat on the couch with her eyes covered

"why are you covering your eye's" Lincoln asked

ronnie uncovered them, and was relieved to see he was back to normal, she spoke quietly

"you didn't have clothes on in that form," she told him

lincoln blushed heavily "h-how much did you see"? he asked

Ronnie responded with her own question "on what scale"?

"uhh, 1 to 10 I guess

"then I'd say a 38"

"Oh," Lincoln said, blushing even more furiously than before

the awkwardness in the room was so thick you could cut it with a knife, so Rita decided to try to distract them, "so, anyone wanna play a board game" she asked

"YES" they both shouted in unison, also looking for an escape from the conversation. they went into the kitchen, and Rita went to the cupboard, she pulled out monopoly, and brought it to the table, she immediately noticed the ouija board on the table and eyed lincoln suspiciously

"I was using it to talk to grandma Harriet" she continued looking at him "only to talk, huh" she put her hands on her hips and looked back to the sink, she had seen three plates before, but didn't quite register why there were three, but now she had a little puzzle completely intact, she turned back to him and looked at him with a decisive stare
