something new

Finale

sorry for the late upload, I was working on the sequel and it completely slipped my mind, here you all go, p.s. this is the last chapter for something new, but not the last chapter for the story, as previously mentioned, a sequel, yay

after a long flight, they came across the same field that lynn and lincoln had fought in not too long ago, they slowed down, and scanned the area, it was definitely a large empty space, large enough to attract a creature like the one they were tracking, they had received the occasional transmission from lisa or levi, checking to make sure that they were still alive and well, after taking in the surrounding terrain, they came in for a landing, there was no use going into a fight when your tired, and flight had done that, tired the hell out of them

"we've been out for hours, and were no closer to finding this guy" linka complained, sitting down

"Yeah, we checked almost a hundred-mile circle, what if we just wait for him to show up again" Ronnie suggested

"we can't, we don't know what it is he's after, and if it's bad, we can't give him extra time to find it, we need to strike as soon as possible " he replied

"well, can we at least take a break for a bit," she asked, sitting down

"yeah, but not here, it's too open, if he is here, and we haven't seen him, he could get the jump on us, and we don't know what he's capable of" lincoln replied

linka sighed, before standing up,  she looked around and saw a patch of trees, not quite a forest, but almost a grove, off a few miles, three at maximum, "Hey lovebirds, how about over there" she said, her hand meeting the direction of her eyes

"don't call us that," lincoln and ronnie both told her rudely, before looking to where she was pointing 

"it looks nice, it'll at least give us some shelter from this heat" ronnie said, starting in the direction of the trees

"Hey, wait up," linka shouted, following quickly after her

"Guess I gotta follow them" lincoln sighed to himself, following the two girls

"so, who's third wheeling"linka asked as the trio walked to the grove

"what do you mean by that" lincoln asked

"I mean, like, you and her are together, I and she are girls, and you and I are pretty much the same people" linka explained

"huh, never thought of it that way, I guess I'd have to say that-"

he was cut off by an earth-shattering explosion, coming from the direction of the town that they lived in

"that sounded like it was from royal woods" ronnie exclaimed

"let's go" lincoln shouted

"I can't, my arms are too tired" ronnie claimed

"mine too" linka repeated

"well, I can fly, and you cant, that leaves us with one option," lincoln said, beginning to transform

Lisa's room p.o.v.

"LINCOLN, LORI, LOKI, DO ANY OF  YOU COPY" lisa shouted into the microphone

there was no answer, only static

"I can't get through to anyone, this thing is emitting some sort of a jamming wave, I can't get a stable connection" levi stated

"this can't be happening, It was my job to keep them informed, and now they're gonna die" lisa panicked, levi walked up to her and smacked her across the face
