the day was as normal as it could be, after a mauling from his sisters the previous day, lincoln lay down in his bed, a heating pad behind his neck to relax the muscles, staring at the attic ceiling, he didn't quite remember what had happened, but he was sore, so he figured they pulled a few of his muscles, Gleam clung to his chest, sleeping peacefully, Lisa had tested his blood for diseases, and he came out clear, she then had given him a disease resistant, to ensure he didn't pick any up, the guy had gotten super attached to him, to the point where lincoln trusted him out of his cage full time, he was also surprisingly light for his size, but that was to be expected with any flying creature, lost in his thoughts, he didn't notice Lucy pop through the vents, she tapped his shoulder, and he let out a frightened yelp, trying his best to muffle it to keep the bat asleep,

"don't sneak up on me while Gleam is sleeping" he whispered harshly

"well, he can't be sleeping, you both have lessons today" she spoke

"lessons?, when did I sign up for lessons"? lincoln asked

"you didn't, I decided you both need them," she remarked

lincoln tapped Gleam's back lightly, the bat opened its eyes groggily, and stood on all fours, it lifted one wing, stretched it to the side, and then repeated with the other, he shook his head, and looked up at him, he let out a small squeak, lincoln rubbed its head, and it leaned into it, it baffled lincoln how much he acted like a cat, even to the point that it knocked some stuff off the shelves, after a lot of climbing of course, lincoln stood up, and ----- climbed onto his shoulder, he didn't hang upside down like most bats, he would curl up to sleep, or perch on a ledge like a gargoyle, but being upside down wasn't his thing, lincoln stood in front of lucy as she instructed him on what to do.

"alright lincoln, let's start with something simple" she spoke

"I tried simple, I went for a dog" lincoln reminded

"dog may seem simple, but when I say simple, I mean genetically and physically similar, like another primate" she explained

"it's still gonna hurt" lincoln stated

"maybe so, but after you got mauled by our sisters, I dragged you up here and used a little mind control to get you to shapeshift," she told him

"not cool to mess with someone's mind, you wouldn't like it if I did it to you"

"well, I would like it, I'm twisted that way, but if you went in my mind, I couldn't guarantee that you would come out sane" she spoke

"I guess, so what else can I change into"

"well, any primate, bear, or canine, and I got you a little bit ahead on bats" she listed

"uh, off-topic question, if I were to change into an extinct animal, and someone else was to change into the same one, would the baby be that spiecies,"  he asked

"One thing to note would be that, yes, it would be that animal, but, if it were to carry the vampire gene, then it would not be that species, since vampires can be any species, they are in turn counted as their own species, but if you and... say ronnie anne, were to for some reason decide to do it as... say dodos, the baby would be either vampire or dodo, but not human, although such a stupid question means you should be slapped, just don't try to bring back anything extinct" she ordered

"I guess that's fair," he said as he morphed back to himself

"now try a bat, it'll be more difficult due to the size difference, but you'll manage

lincoln once again put his concentration into that of a bat, he grew brilliant white fur on his back and chest, his skin and last two fingers stretched, and he shrunk, until he had changed into a ghost-like reflection of his pet, he was all white, except for his hands and feet, which had taken black for their color, and his eye a shady green, he looked himself over, admiring his wings, he was a bit larger than gleam, who had been watching from on top of the support beam, he may not be able to fly, but he was an amazing climber, Lincoln beat his wings, and got some lift, not much, but enough to get him into the air, he flapped faster, and despite not having any control of the direction he was going, he was still flying, he pushed himself harder, and got up to the beam that gleam was on, he reached out his feet, and grabbed hold of it, he was lucky enough to have not lost control while going up, he pulled himself in, and stood in wait, lucy turned herself into a bat, a flew effortlessly up, doing a perfect landing upon the beam, her fur was pitch black, and her eyes where a brilliant blue,
