bambi curled her legs up to her chest inside of the pink hoodie she had stolen from yumi.

she was waiting for yumi to get home because yumi had had a bad day and she wanted to cheer her up.

the moment yumi walked into their apartment, she let a sigh of relief upon seeing her adorable girlfriend.

"baby," she let out as she fell onto the bed and reached her hand out to grab bambi's hand, "you're so cute."

"yuyu, come here." bambi pulled yumi up and was very quickly wrapped in a hug by her larger girlfriend.

"i love you, so much. i had a really bad day and i just wanted to come home and see you."

bambi played with yumi's hair and let her rant about her bad day. she knew yumi could go on for hours and she had no problem with that.

"yuyu, let's go take a shower." bambi pulled the girl off the bed and to their tiny bathroom that would definitely not be large enough for both of them if bambi was any bigger.

"i love you. i wish you didn't have a bad day. i don't like when you're upset," bambi told yumi as she let the taller massage conditioner into her hair.

"it's okay because now i'm with you and that's all that matters. and it wasn't even that big of a deal so i don't know why i let it get to me."

bambi pouted but didn't stay anything else because it was pointless to argue with yumi about her feelings. she always downplayed then which made bambi upset because she wanted to know how her girlfriend was feeling.

so when they got out of the shower, bambi made yumi get under the blankets and cuddle up with their plushies.

"tell me everything on your mind. i don't care what is it is or if you think it's dumb, tell me everything."

yumi did as she was told, telling bambi about how much she loved her (there was a lot of talk about bambi because yumi didn't think about much else in her everyday life), how she worried about their future, and how she felt about her family.

bambi held yumi when tears started to fall and told her everything would be okay. she wanted to do what yumi did for her so often and just help her feel better.

the girls stayed up late because bambi wanted to be sure yumi got everything out.

"fine, you want to know what i'm thinking about right now? i'm thinking about how my kitten needs to go to bed so she isn't tired and grumpy in the morning because i want to take her out for a breakfast date."

"do you feel better?" bambi asked softly and obviously sleepy. she had been trying to hide it so yumi didn't try to end the conversation but there was no point once yumi pointed it out.

"i do, baby, thank you. i really needed that. i love you."

"i love you, yuyu, let's go to sleep."

bambi was back in her usual spot on top of yumi as they started to fall asleep.

"yu," bambi said quietly even though she was sure yumi was still awake, "where are you taking me for breakfast?"

"it's a surprise. now go to sleep, silly, it's almost three in the morning and i don't want to deal with a cranky bambi in the morning."
