Not The Same

Hiccup was fighting through the night and it was now sunrise and he was starting to get very week and who was he fighting

"Stop! I don't wanna fight you Eret" Hiccup shouted, why was he here, why was he fighting for Drago, why would he betray him like this

"It's either me or Astrid" he said, that got Hiccup angry, he started to growl then he gripped Inferno tight and then screamed and charged at Eret, he swung at his head multiple times but Eret dodged them all

"Come on Hiccy, is that all you got" he said as he smiled evilly, Hiccup was now fuming and has had enough "call me Hiccy...one.more.time, I dare you" he growled

Eret laughed and looked at him "Hiccy, oh look nothing happened" he said sarcastically then Hiccup yelled and it sounded like a night fury

It was quiet for a moment and all that could be heard was the fight going on it the distance and soon one of the Night Furies in the sky started to dive bomb towards them and they heard a banshee scream

Eret sucked for cover while Hiccup just smiled and watched it come down, there was a huge purple flash and then no one could see as the arena was full of smoke dust and fog, Eret walked out as everything in the arena was calm

He drew his sword and started to walk out, his breathing was uneasy and his hand was shaking.

He then froze when he heard a growl behind him, he walked backwards and then hit the wall.

But for some reason it felt.........warm, he turned round and gasped when he was met face to face with the black demon, he fell to the floor and started to crawl away, he then Looked over his shoulder as the fog started to clear and he saw Astrid tied up and a dagger not too far from him

He then looked back at the Dragon who was growling, he took a few deep breaths then punched the dragons face making him stagger a bit, he then got up and ran towards Astrid, the Night Fury saw him running towards the dagger and his eyes shot wide in fear, he sprinted after him as fast as he could

Eret grabbed the knife and jumped at Astrid, he shoved it into he chest "NO!" Hiccup screamed, the dragon then grabbed Eret and pinned him on the floor and growled furiously at him, he looked at Hiccup who managed to successfully get Astrid down from to the ground safely, he looked at him and Hiccup nodded

The dragon looked back at Eret and opened his mouth and charged up the biggest blade a ball he had ever made, Eret screamed in fear the a huge blast echoed through out the whole island, Hiccup walked out the arena and called Toothless, who was next to him in seconds, Hiccup hopped on with Astrid in his arms and took to the skies

"Come on bud, back to Berk and I'm begging you to go as fast as you can, Astrid is seriously hurt" he sobbed, Toothless purred and sped off to Berk "hang in there Astrid, please just stay with me, y-you're gonna make it" he said as he kissed her forehead

Hiccup sat on the edge of his bed sobbing into his hands, they had taken Astrid into Level 1 security operations, so not even her parents could see her

He continued to cry as he worried for her life, his head shot up as the nurse came into his room with something "Hiccup" she said softly "y-yes?" he replied, "you need to meet some one" she said as she handed him the bundle in her arms, Hiccup unwrapped some of the cloth and saw a babies face

He gasped and started at the little thing "congratulations, you have a little girl" the nurse said

"A-and astrid?" he asked nervously

The nurse sighed and sat beside him "I'm really sorry Hiccup but...the Miricuru damaged her insides and we couldn't fix it in time, I'm sorry but she's gone"

"No!"

"I'm sorry Hiccup, we did all that we could to save her but there was just too much damage" the nurse said placing a hand on his shoulder

"She's not completely gone you know" she said standing up "w-what do you mean?" Hiccup replied

"You still have Astrid's heart in your baby" she said walking out and shut the door behind her

"I still have her heart in you....but it's not the same" he sobbed and he let the tears fall

It was a sad day as it was Astrid's funeral and the entire village attended the service, Astrid's body had been placed on a ship and covered in a blanket and her axe was placed on top of her body

Gobber stepped forward and started the service, sobbing with tears in his eyes he started

"May the Valkyries welcome you and guide you through Odins great battle field, and may they sing your name with fire and fury so we might hear it again from the depths of Valhalla, for a wonderful woman has fallen. a shield madden, a worrier, a wife, a mother...a-a friend"

All around tears were falling and sobbing could be heard, Hiccup was holding his daughter in his arms, he named her Miracle Astrid Haddock, so her mothers spirit is never far from him

"Archers, fire!" Hiccup said and soon the night sky was illuminated with flickering orange dots and as soon as they all hit the ship it slowly started to glow as the flames took over the vessel

"I'm sorry Astrid" Hiccup said "if I hadn't have gone on the flight with Toothless maybe you would still be here, I'm not the husband you wanted to be and I'm not...the father I'd hoped to be" he sobbed as he looked at Miracle and stroked her cheek lightly

He felt a hand on his shoulder and he looked to see his mother standing there with Cloudjumper behind her with Toothless and Stormfly "she was the bravest of us all, no one could beat her at anything, well except for you in dragon training, but through all thick and thin, she never loved anyone more than she loved you son" she said as she planted a kiss on his forehead and walked away

"It's still not the same, I'm sorry Astrid...f-for everything...goodbye my divine beauty, watch over me and our daughter from Valhalla"

then some of the smoke from the ship seemed to form into a shape of Astrid's body and it looked like she was smiling, he smiled back and waved goodbye then the misty figure disappeared

"Goodbye"

SO THIS ISN'T WHAT I WANTED TI DO BUT THERE IS A BIG TWIST AT THE END OF THE STORY THAT YOU ARE ALL GOING TO LIKE I SWEAR

NEXT CHAPTER IS "5YEARS LATER"

SORRY FOR KILLING OFF ASTRID BUT IM PUTTING IN A HUGE TWIST AT THE END THAT YOU WILL ALL LOVE SO YEAH HAPPY DAYS
