When we arrived at the house I was glad to see that Ty was addressing Adam's wounds, as many of them were a tad bit severe. But after getting Ant's wounds addressed as well, I almost wish they had taken longer.

Adam, Ty, Ant, and I were all sitting in the living room, the same we had sat in when Ty told us what happened to Adam, and currently were awkwardly looking around. A relieved Ty was clinging happily onto Adam who, in turn, was replying with gentle signs of compassion. Ant had done nothing more but grasp my hand once in view of Adam, but kept stealing worried glances in apprehension of the inevitable argument between he and Adam. And soon the tension was broken.

"Explain it to me Ant," Adam demanded harshly.

Ant whimpered a little. "Explain what Adam?"

"Explain how you met this devil's child and why he's sitting in my house." He loosely motioned to me. His voice was unsettlingly calm despite the anger and disgust in his words. Even Ty was squirming a little.

Ant glanced at me for a moment then shakily responded to Adam's question. "He was unconscious in the forest. I found him after you kicked me out. He-"

"And you didn't bother asking him where he was from?" Adam voice was beginning to show a bit more emotion.

"He didn't bother asking me!" Ant's voice was wavering and his eyes were starting to water.

"That doesn't mean-"

"Adam, stop." Ty placed a hand on Adam's cheek and turned his face away from Ant and I. "Don't argue with Ant about this."

He continued to mutter consolations to Adam as I pulled Ant into an embrace and let him cry. I couldn't help but glare at Adam. How could he put Ant into such a state?

"But Ty!" Adam was near screaming now. "Look at them. Ant's an Aether prince. Jordan-"

"Listen to yourself Adam!" Ty cried. "You've heard all of this before, haven't you?! Isn't there someone you love that's different?" (Ooooohhhhhhhh...)

After that everything went silent. Ant looked up, surprised, and even I couldn't help but abandon my glare for a look of shock. Ty and Adam seemed frozen in place, Adam sitting hatefully on the couch his eyes smouldering angrily up at Ty who was standing, arms crossed, the anger on his face betrayed by his watering eyes and quivering lip.

Adam opened his mouth to say something but Ty cut him off.

"Like father, like son."

Adam's eyes went wide when he realized the truth in this situation. Ty had walked off somewhere into the house, sobbing, not wanting to be around Adam at the moment. Ant was still shivering in my arms, not sure what to do after what had happened. Adam placed his head in his hands.

"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, Ant," he sighed, his voice muffled by his hands. "I was upset. I was scared. The Nether is just a frightening place." (Why do you think Jordan left?)

Ant's voice was soft and sympathetic. "It's alright Adam. You were just confused. I get it." Even though he said it, he sounded still a bit unsure and despondent.

Adam stood and limped after Ty. Before he left the room he turned and, with a sad smile on his tired face, said, "By the way, thanks Jordan. And... Take care of him, will you? Dad's gonna riot."

I half-heartedly nodded. How was I supposed to respond to that? (Literally what I think after everything ever told to me.) After he left I found that Ant was still cuddled quietly in my arms. I ruffled his hair a bit to get his attention. (That's honestly the cutest way to get someone's attention.)

"Want to head home?" I asked.
