Chapter 17

It's been a few months since we fought the rogue clan that threatened to wipe us out. My mate Violet and I have been helping rebuild the houses in the pack grounds. After that fight my father thought that Violet and i were ready to lead the pack as Alpha and Luna. Violet also completed the ceremony to be the alpha of her family. It was rumor that she'd be the strongest of all the heirs of the first family. She now meets with the other families do discuss the problems within their packs or threatening packs near anyone territories. They all look to my mate for the strength and kindness to guide them through the tough times. I wouldn't blame them she's good at what she does.

"Dean?" she said waving her hand in front of my face.

"yes"

"I was wondering if we can go to the lake today" she said with a genuine smile

"Yeah, sounds perfect" she was falling right into my surprise. I love her so much and i want to be with her forever.

"I have something to tell you later on" I said smiling at her. She then turns towards me away from the pancakes and looks puzzled.

"Okay, I have something to tell you too" she said

Does everyone know what they're doing? I said in pack link blocking Violet so she would ruin the surprise.

"What kind of flowers does she like again? Asked Rosie

I show up early to the lake and I'm in my usual flanal red and black button down shirt with a white inside and a black jacket over it. I wore black jeans and my usual shoes. I couldn't wait until she got here.

"You alright" she said behind me causing me to whip around to face her.

There she was in a white long sleeve turtle neck and maroon skirt. Her brown boots came up to her thighs and her hair was down and curled. She smiled and wrapped her arms around me. I rest my head in her neck and take in her sweet scent.

"Water lilys? Those are my favorite" she saw before walking on the water and picking up one. She held it in her hand smiling and admiring its beauty.

"What did you want to talk about?" she asked me. My heart started to beat a thousand beats a minute. Everything seemed perfect and I was too nervous to say a word.

"Are you okay?" she said placing her warm hand on my cheek.

"We met in the parking lot of school, back then you didn't know you were a werewolf and you were shifting without knowing it. On that day i saw your scent and felt the pull of your presence. I then knew you were my mate and I was yours. I took things slow knowing that the changing in your lifestyle would effect your drastically" I said then taking her hands in mine and looking into her eyes.

"Dean?"

"When i marked you i was so happy. Cause then I got to call you mine and everyone knew it. I nearly lost you twice but you always seem to come back to me" I get down on one knee and she starts smiling with watery eyes.

"So I'm asking you, Violet Elizabeth Shaw. Will you marry me?" I said as i'm down on one knee.

She starts to tear and smile at me, I smile back at her and wait for her answer.

"Yes" She says and i stand up and place the ring on her finger and hug her.I can feel her heart beating rapidly and her sniffles as she hugs me.

Right after everyone starts to come out of the bushes to congratulate us.
