Building the Barricade Lyrics (Pony Version)

 Here upon these stones

We will build our barricade

In the heart of the city

We claim as our own!

Each stallion to his duty

And don't be afraid

Wait! I Will Need a report on the strength of the foe

I can find out the truth

I know their ways

Fought their ways

Served my time

In the days of my youth!

Now ponies will fight

And so they might

Dogs will bark, fleas will bite

They will do what is right

Hey little colt, what's this?

Gosh, Eponine, The things you do!

I know this is no place for me

Still I would rather be with you

Get out before trouble starts

I got you worried, now I have

That shows you like me quite a lot

There is a way that you can help

You are the answer to a prayer

Please take this letter to Cossette

And pray that she's still there!

Little you know

Little you care!

I have a letter, Monsieur

It's addressed to your daughter, Cossette

It's from a colt At the barricade, sir

In the Rue de Villette

Give me that letter here, my colt

He said to give it to Cossette!

You have my word that my daughter will know

What this letter contains

Tell the stallion she will read it tomorrow

And here's for your pains

Go,  careful now, stay out of sight

There's danger in the streets tonight

Dearest Cossette, you have entered my soul

And soon you will be gone

Can it be only a day since we met and Equestria was reborn?

If I should fall in the battle to come, let this be goodbye

Now that I know you love me as well

It is harder to die

I pray that my friends will be with you and bring you home

Javert at the Barricade Lyrics (Pony Version)

Listen, my friends,I have done what I said

I have been to their lines, I have counted each stallion

I will tell what I can

Let it be warned they have armies to spare, and our danger is real

We will need all our cunning to bring them to heel

Have faith, if you know what their movements are we'll spoil their game

There are ways that we can fight

We Shall overcome their power!

I have overheard their plans

There Will be no attack tonight

They intend to starve you our before they start a proper fight

Concentrate their force, hit us when it's light

Liar!

Good evening,  inspector, ,lovely evening

I know this pony, my friends, his name's Inspector Javert

So don't believe a word he says because none of it is true

This only goes to show what little ponies can do

Bravo, little Gavroche, you're the top of the class!

So what're we gonna  do with this snake in the grass?

Take this stallion, and throw him in the tavern in there

The ponies will decide your fate,  Inspector Javert

Shoot me now or shoot me later

Every schoolcolt to his sport

Death to each and every traitor

I renounced your ponies' court

Take this stallion, bring him through

There is work we have to do

Javert was led into the café where the stallion is grabbed by a student. Seizing his opportunity, he broke free and the student ponies had to gain the upper hoof  by force. With no way out, Javert was on his knees and tied to the staircase.

Suddenly, emerging from the darkness, the students and citizens at the barricade heard an eerie sound in the distance of marching hooves in unison, starting out soft and gradually getting louder and closer. This sound eventually comes into the street.

Enjolras and the students, protecting the barricade, peered over said barricade and spotted weapons ranging from bayonets to musket barrels, which were all dimly lit by the reflection from a torch.

Then, a dreadful explosion burst over the barricade, causing a red flag to slide down and drop as well as its flagpole, which was sliced through.

Enjolras trotted over and picked up the flag, about to take it up when Father Mabeus took the flag from Enjolras's hooves. Father Mabeus then galloped up onto the barricade with the red flag.

But just at that moment, he was shot and killed by open fire.
