I Remember You - Haku x Spirit!Reader {Spirited Away} (Under Editing)

Chapter 2

When the two opened the door, they find a huge set of stairs. "Be careful Chihiro." (y/n) told the girl was they began to descend towards the boiler room. After a few seconds, Chihiro nearly slipped, but in an attempt to not fall, she picked up her speed.

"AAAAHHHHHH!!!!" She screamed as the fox spirit chased after her. "Chihiro! Watch-" And before the spirit could finish her sentence, the young girl collided with the wall. "Chihiro!" (y/n) called as she ran towards her friend's side.

"Are you okay?" She asked as the 10 years held her face in pain. "I-it hurts..." She cried. "It's going to get better, hold on." (y/n) said as she held her hand hovering over Chihiro's face. A light blue glow emitted from her hand as the pain lifted from Chihiro'a face.

"Better?" (y/n) asked as the girl nodded. "Thank you." "No problem. And now that you're better, let's go see Kamaji. He's beyond, that door." (y/n) pointed towards the boiler room.

They soon enter the boiler room, and walk in to see the multi-limbed spirit hard at work. They see all the soot sprites doing their job, and as both did their best to avoid stepping on the sprites, (y/n) urged Chihiro to asked the boiler man for a job.

"Kamaji, sir?" The young girl asked as the man, still working, replied. "Yes?" "I would like to get a job here." Chihiro asked. "I can't. I don't need you." The spirit then pointed to the spot sprites. "As you can see, I've got all the help I need." He stated.

"Please! Can I get a job?!" Chihiro kept pressing as the spirits kept working. "Come on Kamaji, let the girl work." (y/n) pleaded alongside Kamaji as the man looked at the fox spirit. "(y/n), it's been a while."

"I don't know if I can. You know how Yubaba is." Kamaji told (y/n). "Come on, if she works here, she'll have a better chance to free herself and her family. Please do this for the little girl." (y/n) begged.

After a while, Kamaji gave in. "Fine. But you'll have to prove it." He said. As if on cue, one of the sprites was struggling to carry a big piece of coal.

The tiny spirit was crushed under the weight of the rock as Chihiro rushed over to help. "Here." She said as she lifted the heavy risk off of the sprite, which popped back up from the ground.

"(y/n), what now?" The girl asked as the spirit pointed towards the furnace. "You'll have to carry it there. And don't force yourself. It looks heavy." (y/n) told the girl as she slowly shifted towards the burning furnace.

Quickly, she tossed the rock into the fire as the sparks flew about. Soon, the rest of the sprites in an act of laziness, began to crush themselves with their pieces of coal in an attempt for Chihiro to carry the pieces for them.

"Hey, don't force the girl to do your work, you guys have a job." (y/n) scolded the sprites as they did as they were told. "These sprites." Kamaji sighed as he went back to work.

"Alright everyone, time to eat." A voice called as a woman handed Kamaji food, and began feeding the sprites. "Ah, Lin." (y/n) rejoiced as the woman looked at her. "(y/n)?! When did you get here?" Lin asked as she hugged the girl.

"I'm helping someone get a job." (y/n) told her as Lin separated from the hug. "Really? Who-" And when Lin turned around, she saw the human girl standing there. "You're the girl everyone's been talking about!!!" Lin yelled.

"Who is she?!" Lin asked (y/n), and before the fox could reply, Kamaji did for her. "She's my granddaughter, she wants to get a job here. Could you help her?" Kamaji asked as (y/n) and Chihiro looked at him with warm smiles.

"I dunno." Lin said, looking away, but not when Kamaji waved a roasted newt in front of her face. "Come on. I'll give you this roasted newt if you do." Kamaji bribed. "Fine. Come on girl. Let's go." Lin said.
