A week had passed and the following week after the fight between Korosensei and Lucy, Lucy had finally returned and after seeing that nothing had happened to her, everyone let out a sigh of relief. Since she was under Shiro, there was always the possibility of her never returning like what had happened with Itona and by now, not a single one of them didn't know what kind of tendencies Shiro had.

As relief swept over them, their air of excitement and welcome at the fact that she came back soon died down as class started. Lucy smiled to herself, glad that she was able to sit in this classroom once more and for that, she had to thank Sebas and the others. Most of all, she had to thank Korosensei for having told her the truth when no one else did. But, nevertheless, she had to remain on her toes for one wrong move on her part and Shiro could immediately dispose of her. She had a feeling he was more than what the eye showed.

But, there was no worrying about it right now. In fact, it wasn't something that anyone else had the time to worry about besides Lucy. After all, exams were coming up and once again, it was time to take Kunugigaoka High School's Chairman, Gakuho Asano. He was well-known to the point that even Lucy was aware of his existence and that was only because Natsu and Gray had pointed him out on a newspaper and complained about how they didn't like people like him who say sweet words on the surface but were actually the very opposite deep down. Even Lucy, the moment she had seen his picture in the newspaper, didn't particularly like him.

"I can't believe it's exam season again," Yada whined as she flopped down on her desk. "Each and every time, that Chairman just loves to make things hard for us."

Sugaya nodded his head with crossed arms. "Agreed. He's a sadist. A true sadist."

"Remembering that under-handed trick he pulled last time," Chiba gritted his teeth.

"If Chiba's angry, then he must be seriously angry," Okajima looked at him.

Hayami nodded her head in agreement. "Yeah."

Though the others seemed to be worked up about it, Lucy just stared out the classroom window, gazing at the blooming cherry blossoms as its petals cascaded down in the spring breeze. She enjoyed the scenery from her window and when she looked at it, all the sound in the background were blacked out and it felt as if she was the only one that existed. There was not a single trace of worry in her mind.

Karma looked at her and slid over to her with a smirk. "What're you thinking about?"

Lucy immediately turned around and stared at him, completely caught by surprise. He widened his eyes, not expecting for her to actually be surprised. But, she soon calmed down and slid her chair back a bit as she pointed to the scenery outside so that he could see it as well.

"You were looking at the scenery?" he laughed. "What? Do you think it looks pretty?"

The edges of her lips curled up into a smile as she softened her eyes, her eyes lighting up with fondness and happiness. She nodded her head. Seeing that smile of hers, he widened his eyes and once more, he felt his heart pound beneath his chest. Immediately looking away, he covered his mouth with his hands, desperately trying to cover his flushed face. Unbeknownst to Lucy, she simply blinked in question, wondering what had happened.

Karma calmed down and turned to face her again, not understanding why he had reacted in such a way either. She was an assassin that he simply found interest in, nothing more and nothing less. Just like with Nagisa.

"So, you thought it was pretty," Karma mused but softened his expression as one thought seeped into his mind. Even though you aren't aware of the true scenery here.
