One Choice

Chapter 28

Her honey brown eyes turned a bright shade of gold as her long, golden hair which gleamed under the sunlight shone a silvery-white. The ends of her hair formed into tentacles, curling itself as it floated around her, obeying Lucy's every wish and command. 

"I will put an end to this."

With one tap against the floor, she appeared before Natsu, going against him once more. The students of E-Class watched with gaping mouths and wide eyes upon having seen Lucy's true appearance. 

"Those were..." Kurahashi looked at the floor.

"Without a doubt," Kayano's eyes were wide in horror. "They were tentacles. The same ones that Itona and I had."

"So that means that Lucy, too, was..." Nakamura trailed off.

"Experimented on."

No one knew who spoke at the end and even without finishing, the answer was apparent. After seeing those tentacles, who wouldn't be able to guess what had happened. Irina averted her eyes as Karasuma punched the ground. 

"Fuck it all!"

He should've known it. Anyone that Shiro introduced would have definitely been experimented on and he should've known that. He should've put more effort into convincing his ministry and the government into restraining Shiro and confining him after what had happened with Itona. Even from afar, they could hear the clashes between the three of them, the sound of tentacles breaking against the sound barrier as it slashed through the air in an attempt to land an attack at each other. It was a fight that no one could keep up with besides a select few and even for Ritsu, it was hard enough.

Karma sat there on the floor, his red bangs covering his face. Nagisa looked over to Karma and throughout the whole time, he had remained silent and after seeing Lucy's true appearance, he wondered what exactly was going on through that head of his. 

Placing a hand on the ground, he got up and swayed ever-so-slightly as he walked over to the pile of debris and the hole that Lucy had made when she collided and went through the numerous walls. He walked over to the forced open entrance and placing a hand on the crumbling wall, he gripped it as more debris fell. Gritting his teeth, his eyes flared with anger and pain as he watched Lucy fight by herself. Even with Korosensei by her side, it was as if she was the sole one fighting. She was fighting her own fight with no one there to understand her or the suffering she was in. Her eyes, which still stayed the same mesmerizing pair, spoke it all.

"Trust me, Lucy," he said as his voice shook with misery and resolve. "No matter what you happen to be or no matter what you went through, I'll still continue to stay by your side. I told you, didn't I? Lucy."

Taking his Anti-Sensei knife and gun, he ran in the opposite direction and past the others. His amber eyes gleamed as they were set on one thing only. Even if she said she didn't need help, she was screaming for it. She might not think that there was anything for them to do but there had to be something. There was something. 

Meanwhile~

Lucy gritted her teeth as Natsu's tentacle barely missed her, creating a clean, fresh cut on her cheek as blood dripped from it. The three were still continuing to fight it out and though their speed wasn't dulling down, they all knew that there was a slight difference in their abilities and that difference would mean everything in the outcome.

"Just how much did Shiro inject into him?" Korosensei continued to dodge the chain of attacks all while trying to land a blow on him.

"Enough to make him on par with us," Lucy said as her tentacles continued to battle against Natsu's and helped her evade the constant string of attacks while she herself looked for any opening to attack from with the Anti-Sensei weapons.
