blade. | katsuki siblings

“Are you sure about this?” Dia turned away from Mirai, retrieving something from her bag. “You need to be 100% sure about this. You're sure that Mitsuki is not who we think she is?”

“Of course I am.” Mirai stood there, not hesitating.

Dia walked closer to Mirai, holding a box. “Let me get this clear. You think that Mitsuki might be this girl named “Christine”, who is the fallen angel-demon hybrid side of her? And this girl took Mitsuki's personality and acted as her?”

“That's basically it.” Mirai nodded. “You know shit about this, right?”

Dia shrugged, giving the box to Mirai. “Yes, it is possible that your supernatural side can separate from your human side. It's rare in girls, men are more prone to getting the supernatural traits, so Mizuya's more likely to have that happen to him—”

“This blade will end Christine's life, right?” Mirai cuts her off. Dia blinked once, twice, before she nodded. The Japanese opened the box. “This doesn't look like a typical knife.”

“It's tinted red— a poison that only affects your kind, specifically, your supernatural side.” Dia explains. “One small cut can be lethal. I diluted the poison, one small drop to an ounce. It took twelve for that knife to soak it. This way, one small cut won't be life threatening. If the poison manages to get its way into their veins, it's over for them.
“Now. I never participated in this, okay? If you manage to succeed, seeing that Christine is full fallen angel-demon, her body will fade into nothing. I'm wishing you luck.”

Mirai stared at the knife tucked away in her pocket. The other people inside the house was too caught up in their own conversation to notice that she was walking to the kitchen. In there, she sees Christine — or at least, that's who she was hoping to be. Mizuya was sitting on the counter, texting on his phone, however, Mirai didn't want to stall. She wanted to get it over now.

While the younger girl had her back turned against her, Mirai took the knife out, preparing to stab the other. Mizuya saw this, despite being on his phone. The boy saw everything in slow motion, his body moving before he could even tell what was going on.

He ran in between his sisters, grabbing the knife by its blade. Mizuya winced at how sharp the knife was, digging into his palms, blood already dripping in the floor. Mirai could only stare in horror. Mitsuki turned around, seeing the scene in front of her.

“W-what are you doing, Mirai?” Mizuya asked, pain clearly present in his face. “Why'd you want to stab Mitsu?”

“Mizuya, let go, that's not Mitsuki!” Mirai tried to take the knife away, but Mizuya only gripped tighter. At this point, people were already crowding around the doorway to the kitchen.

Marius stared at the scene, smelling the distinct odor of the poison. Dia seemed calm, yet her heart was thumping loudly in her chest. “It's antidemon blade, and the poison is diluted fallen angel poison.” Marius turned to her. “Do you think Casper had something to do with this?”

Casper is Mirai's half brother, who took interest in the supernatural, just like his uncle. Dia could only shrug. “Maybe, there's a big chace he does.”

“I—” Mitsuki stood there, scared, and in a blink of an eye, she disappeared. Mirai's hold on the knife loosened in surprise, Mizuya taking this as a change to throw the knife away. The blood on his hands kept on dripping down the floor. It wasn't a lot, but he felt himself weakening at a fast rate.

Marius quickly rushed to Mizuya before he could fall. “That blade's poisoned, you know? Not harmful to humans, but to your kind…” He knows the siblings’ condition, it wasn't necessarily a secret they kept. “I don't know what your plan was, but if you suspected that your sister isn't who you think she is, then you'd be right.”

“I didn't mean for any of this to happen!” Mirai exclaimed, tears pouring down her face. Marius nodded, not really knowing how to react. Truth be told, he doesn't know how to react to almost every occurrence in his life.

He examined Mizuya's palm, seeing how deep the wound was. “Lucky there's no damage to his blood vessels, however, due to the poison, I'm not sure how much damage his body took.”

Dia gulped, stepping inside the kitchen. “I can help, sort of. Marius is more fit with antidotes, though.”

“Save him, please.” Mirai whispered, loud enough for the two to hear, and walked away.
