The lifewalkers were an ancient breed sent by the gods to live amount the mortals of earth and keep threats at bay. They lived in human bodies and lived mortal lives but as they grew old they died and were born again.
The lifewaker court began headed by two people, the queen Athena and king Eoin. The empire was vast and spread out and because of this each colony of life walkers were assigned a leader.
Belle and jasper were the historical leaders of the oldest colony in the world, the Deltons.
The lifewalkers were not without fault however. The Ceps were that fault, a coven of witches the lifewalkers had once wronged who fought to destroy them.
The Ceps were smart, cunning and their threats cause all colonies to fled to the capital, except for the deltons. Belle kept her resolve and they trusted her so they stayed.
The capital was hit by the Ceps killing all lifewalkers within, leaving the deltons the remains of the lifewalkers.
