21 - Together ... Finally

Belle POV

"Darling dinners ready"Tara called as I clipped up the last piece of hair into a bun. I had been ordered to dress up formally but other wise left to my own devices, mostly I was sitting thinking about Klaus

I descended the stairs to find all the decor for the party up it looked great, gold leaves decorated almost every surface,flames burned in floating jars and a large feast was set in the middle of the hall. The table was almost full allies and enemy's sitting in a tense silence

"Belle how nice of you to join us" Alex said gesturing to the empty seat next to him at the head of the table "Not as if I had a choice" I remarked sitting at the table

"So we're all here to witness the fall of an era, the end of the lifewalkers we have the queen and as we know the kingdom follows" Alex said raising a glass "Long may we live" I frowned not touching the goblet of wine in front of me "Drink up Darling it will be your last" he taunted

I forced a smile pretending to drink. The dinner passed by Alex taunting me about what he was going to do with the kingdom mostly things that would get him killed and me sitting attempting to look unaffected

A snap sounded and Alex ordered every guard to the door but not long after the Mikealson's burst in along with jasper and most of the court "Your to late" Alex smirked "She'll be dead in minutes" he said they frowned looking at me as I stood up

"Did you really think I was that stupid Darling " I asked sarcastically emphasing the word Darling as I picked up his goblet pouring it over some fire that immediately lit showing it was poisoned "Bottoms up" he paled

"You" he shouted looking for something to say "Smart ass queen" I finished raising a brow "I mean you made it obvious" I teased just as the others began to run, Alex was going down hill fast his skin pale, stumbling with each step "I guess this is it" I said helping him onto a chair hearing noises of protest

"Goodbye princess" Alex whispered lowly before falling into unconsciousness

Alex died and everyone had fled apart from the Mikealson who had stayed, I walked down the hall after finishing sorting everyone out to my room to find Klaus standing a small smile on his face, I stalked up to him pushing him slightly "you could have died" he looked slightly confused at my anger holding my face "why would you do that?" I said raising my voice

He stopped looking into my eyes "I love you" I froze he looked so venerable, I smiled kissing him softly but urgently holding me tightly against him
