!!CONTAINS SPOILERS TO AVENGERS: ENDGAME!!
The ship landed with a gentle thud that made my hair sway. I fiddled with the purple and white bracelet that now contained my suit, anxious to get into the Avengers building where everyone was waiting for us.
I unclipped the seatbelt that held me to me seat and stood up, slightly nauseous from how fast we had been travelling. Tony stood up beside me, and I could see the hope in his eyes. The ball of light that I had woken up to had turned out to be someone named Captain Marvel, and she informed us that the Avengers had sent her to find us.
Tony so desperately wanted Pepper to be alive, and the thought of no one waiting for me made the pain in my heart grow.
"Ready to go home?" Tony asked me as he began walking toward the door.
I sighed and dropped my shoulders. "As I'll ever be."
The door lowered and sunlight immediately shone through. I raised my arm over my head to block it, but put it back down when I saw someone coming toward us.
Nebula and I helped Tony down the stairs as he was too tired to go down them on his own when Steve Rogers ran up to us.
"Captain," I greeted with a nod and a tired smile.
"(Y/N)," Steve smiled back. When I had first been recruited as an Avenger, Tony had made it his duty to make sure I became close with all of them. I hadn't seen any of them in awhile, so this was somewhat like a reunion.
I let Steve help Tony down the rest of the stairs and Nebula strayed behind me.
"I couldn't stop him," Tony said in a defeated voice.
"Neither could I," Steve responded.
Tony then looked to the Captain with glassy eyes and glanced at me, causing them to stop. "...I lost the other kid."
"Tony, we lost."
The Iron Man looked as if he were about to say something else but was cut off when Pepper ran up to the pair.
"Oh my God," she cried. Pepper wrapped her arms around Tony's neck and began to cry. "Oh my God."
They began walking back together, but Steve stayed in his spot to look back at me. He held out his arm for me and I walked forward a few steps to take it. Everyone on the team acted as if I were something that needed protecting, but at that moment I welcomed it.
As we walked to the building, I glanced back at the ship and noticed Nebula sitting on the stairs with an animal that seemed to be holding her hand.
"Should I be concerned with the bunny...?" I whispered to Steve. He looked back and chuckled when he saw what I was referring to.
"I think you should be more concerned with yourself," he said. I rested my head on the top of his arm because I only went up to just above his shoulder when I was standing straight.
The warm air hit me as we walked through the door, and I suddenly felt how much I needed sleep. We reached a room that had tables all around with holographic screens on top of them, causing me to remember how high tech the Avengers Facility was. There were a lot of people there, including Rhodey and Bruce Banner. I assumed that Tony and Pepper had headed to bed already since they weren't there.
"(Y/N)!" I heard my name being called which caused me to look up. I saw Natasha Romanoff running over to me with her arms open.
"Careful with her, Nat," Steve said, making her slow to a walk. I pushed him off with a grin and let Natasha engulf me in a hug.
"Hey, Nat," I said. Many of my days spent at the Facility were spent in the training room with Natasha where she taught me everything she knew. "Long time no see."
She pulled away with a quick smile before she planted a kiss on my forehead before I let out a yawn.
"M' gonna head to bed," I said through another yawn. I placed my hand over my mouth and then furrowed my brows. "Where's Thor?"
The avengers all shared a glance before Bruce decided to speak.
"He hasn't been himself since the snap," he said.
"He's blamed it all on himself," Rhodey pitched in.
I nodded in understanding and then took a closer look at what the holographic screens were displaying. A familiar face flashed on one which made me lower my gaze.
"Night everyone," I said. I started walking down a hall, trying to remember the way to my room. Peter's pale, innocent face haunted my vision as I went.
Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Natasha try to follow me, but Steve caught her arm to hold her back. I needed to be alone.

The first thing I did when I got to my room was head to the bathroom. There was a tub, and that was enough to make me run a bath and strip. When I stepped in, the warm water made a shiver course through my body.I sat down fully and hugged my knees to my chest, listening to the sound of water dripping from the spout.
Drip. I took a deep breath.
Drop. I let the water soothe me.
Drip. I let my eyes close. I saw his face.
Drop. I couldn't hold it together anymore.
Sobs tore out of my mouth and shook my body violently. The water in the tub rippled around me and rose farther up my chest. I hugged my knees tighter and buried my head in my skin, trying to disappear.
"Why aren't I going?"
My own broken voice rang through my head.
"I want to go, too."
My tears matched the ones that had fallen when he left in that cloud of ash.
Tony had shushed me and rubbed my back soothingly, much different from the way I scratched at my arms now.
"I WANT TO GO TOO!" I had yelled after pleading with everything I knew to take me as well. I had crumbled onto the ground with Tony's arms around me and tears streaming freely. I had eventually come to my terrible truth. "I'm not leaving, am I?"
Tony had told me what I needed to hear, but far from wanted to. "I don't think so, Kid."
When I opened my eyes again, the water was cold, and I immediately missed Peter's warmth. His eyes. The way he would just barely brush his lips against mine, and the way his hair would flop over his eyes. The way he could be so vulnerable around me and then go out and kick ass like it was nothing. The way he was mine.
I knew that we were only 16, but I missed Peter to the point of it hurting, and a part of me would forever remain with the ash.

Hey, Lovelies!
I know that this chapter is a bit short, but I've been trying to find Endgame clips so that the dialogue can be as accurate as possible. If anyone knows anything that I can use then that would be a huuuuuge help!
Also, I was thinking of changing the name and cover of the book. I know it's a big change, but I was hoping you guys would like it.
The name would be Avenge The Fallen, and the cover would look like this:Leave a comment to tell me what you think! I love you all so much.
Until next time :)
