An act of kindness

Weeks have passed and the cup brothers were locked in a cage like pets. The devil was cheerful that he got their souls and the casino back. Despite King Dice having (Y/N)'s soul, he didn't care. Cuphead was thinking about wanting to kill king Dice and the Devil so badly, not only he was angry but he felt guilty for failing in protecting the one he loves in his life. "Don't worry cuphead. We'll find a way to escape and get her back." Mugman comforts his brother as cuphead sighs. "It's all my fault....I should've protected her. I'm gonna kill that bastard King Dice if its the last thing I do!" The devil laughs hysterically. "Oh boo hoo! The poor cup is sad he didn't get to save the damsel in distress! and she is now being taken by King Dice who will soon be her true love and the cup and mug will soon be forgotten!" Cuphead growls at him. "You take that back!" The Devil taps on the cage as it rattles making the two cups bounce a few times. "Quiet you! You don't want ANYTHING bad to happen to her? Then keep your fucking mouths shut!!" they stopped talking and cuphead and mugman felt hopeless to save (Y/N) and themselves since they're trapped and there's no way out. "I can't believe it cups....they've won...." Cuphead shakes his head. "No.....they wont stay triumphant for long.....all we can do now, is wait....hoping and praying....that we'll get out of here sooner and defeat them once and for all."

King Dice's P.O.V

I tried everything to make my queen happy. Music, love notes, gambling jokes, and even poems. It was exhausting. So I went to pirouletta and pip a dot for some help. They went to go comfort (Y/N) for me since she doesn't want to look at me nor speak to me at all. Mr.Wheezy and chips start giving me lessons on how women are like and what they need to be more comfortable and happy around their new husbands and such. "Dice. Ya gotta give the gal some time. We all know she isn't happy having you around at first but she'll get over it soon. Besides. You need to be more like a gentleman to her." Mr.Wheezy explained as I took a thought of it. Then chips starts talking. "Yeah. Plus Women are fragile. The day on the wedding ceremony, we all noticed she's a lot smaller than you. So be more gentle to her." Mr.Wheezy nods. "Exactly. You should do something for her. Something nice that'll make her want to like you. Jokes, and music? That ain't gonna work. That's not what women are into. They love going to fancy restaurants, shopping, cuddles, kisses, flowers, chocolates, and especially the hot steamy sex. You see? That's what a women needs in a husband, so they can love them more. You get what we mean?" I thought of it even more. And to be honest, they were actually right. I smiled at them. "Heh. Thanks. I didn't know you guys had experience in women." They both smiled at me and responded. "No need to thank us. We're always here to help." I got up and headed back to my room. Pirouletta and Pip and Dot got out of the room. I thanked them as I entered the room. I sat next to (Y/N). Somehow she calmed down which is a good sign on my end. I gently touched her hand and I softly spoke to her. "Hey darlin....listen. Im sorry I've been an asshole to you for the passed few weeks but....I want to make it up to you. I'd like to take you out somewhere. Get to know each other better.....I know things have been hard for you but....please give me a chance....I want to make you happy. I want us to be happy together....I may not be perfect but I will do anything to please you. I promise...." I kissed her on the cheek and I hope things won't go wrong between us."

The next morning, King Dice got ready for the big day. He wakes up (Y/N) to get her ready. "Where are you taking me?" She looked a bit tired. "We're going out to have fun together my dear! The carnival's in town, and we don't want to miss it." She gets up and he gives her a polka dot yellow dress with a hair bow clip and a pair of black shoes. She puts them on, and they head out. The carnival in inkwell isle was full of people. Despite a few giving King Dice some angered and weird looks, he just ignored them and continued to act cheerful. During their first time together, While (Y/N) was walking around by herself for a bit while Dice went to go get some refreshments at the food stand, she sees one of her friends along the way. Beppi was giving out balloons and free tickets to children. He notices (Y/N), and smiles at her waving as he walks up to her. "(Y/N)! It's so good to see you! Where have you been?" (Y/N) softly smiles. "Well, it's a long story." Beppi looks at her a bit concerned. "Is everything okay kiddo? You don't seem happy. And where's cuphead and mugman? They were always with you almost everyday. They've been reported missing since the devil and king dice came back and stole the casino from them." (Y/N) sighs. "Cuphead and Mugman.....the devil took them." Beppi gasped. "What!!? That's terrible! I hope they get out in one piece." (Y/N) nods. "I hope so too Beppi. Could you let all of inkwell isle know about them?" Beppi nods. "Sure deary. We'll do everything we can to help you guys out. We promise you." just then King Dice walks up to them. "ah! There you are my beloved! I've been looking everywhere for you. Hehe." Beppi looks at Dice with a snarl. "Well. If it ain't the devil's little helper." Dice smirks at him. "Beppi my clowney friend! It's been awhile since you made a deal with my boss. How's it been?" Beppi didn't say a word until he spoke. "Get the hell away from me or I'm going to turn you into a carnival ride accessory that you're not going to enjoy for the rest of your life!" King Dice laughs. "Oh Bepps! You haven't changed a bit. So funny and whimsical as ever! We better get going now. Adios!" They leave, and Beppi was shocked to see one of his best friends being with King Dice. "She's being held hostage by them too!?....I gotta warn everyone about this before things get really crazy!" two hours passed, and King Dice was having the time of his life. (Y/N) just felt a bit uncomfortable but is sorta warming up to him though. They went on a few rides and played some games. Afterwards, King Dice was having the urge to leak so they stopped for a short break before doing any other fun activities. "You wait for me here darlin. I better go hit the men's restroom real quick. Alrighty?" (Y/N) nods and King Dice smiles as he goes to the bathroom. (Y/N) waited patiently until she heard a voice. "(Y/N)? Is that you?" She turns around and it was Baroness Von bon bon. (Y/N) smiled happily, and they hugged each other tightly. "Bon bon! It's wonderful to see you again!" they both had a nice chat and bon bon slightly frowns. "I've heard about what happened to cup and mug. Beppi told me and Djimmi about it. But don't worry. We'll find a way to save them." (Y/N) thanked her. And Bon bon notices the wedding ring on her finger. "Oh! I didn't know you got married. Congratulations! Did you and cuphead tied the knot?" (Y/N) scratches the back of her head. "Um....well..." before she could finish her sentence, unexpectedly, King Dice appears before them. "Well. If it isn't tootsie roll. Haven't seen you since my boss nearly took your soul, what's shaken?" Bon Bon stares at him angrily. "Its Bon bon you disgusting monster! And what are YOU doing here!?" King Dice smiles. "Oh! Thank you for asking. I came here with my loving wife (Y/N) to spend some nice quality time together." Baroness couldn't believe what she just heard as she drops the basket of candy she was giving out to the guests of the carnival. "W-W-WIFE!!!?" King Dice nods. "Yes! Don't we make a lovely couple?" Bon bon just stared in complete shock. And King Dice just smiles at her anyway. "I take that silence as a yes then. Welp, see you later!" King Dice and (Y/N) leave the carnival to go to the park, and now the citizens of inkwell isle will have to think of something to get the cup brothers out from the devil's wrath, and free (Y/N) from King Dice for good. And they're going to need lots of back up.

King Dice's P.O.V

We got to the park, and sat at a bench. (Y/N) was quiet until she suddenly spoke. "Why did you suddenly started to show kindness towards me?....I thought you being evil was your thing." I rubbed the back of my head. "Well....I just wanted to show that i'm not a bad egg as everyone knew I am. Plus, I just want to see you happy. And I want us to work things out for the better." she looked at me with an innocent look on her face. She then asked me a question that nobody else asked me before. "what was life like when you were younger?" I was surprised that someone just asked me a question that I never thought of answering. So I sighed and started talking about my past life. "When I was a kid, I was actually an orphan. I never made any friends at all. I was always so full of myself yearning for attention for everyone to adore me showing them that i'm better than they all are. But Alas. Wheezy was the only friend I ever had. I kept coming back to the orphanage after foster family, after foster family because they said I was a bad kid. I was too spoiled and being a show off. Even always being a bully to everybody. No one wanted to adopt me. I was the only kid left. Plus Wheezy got accepted in being adopted by a family who couldn't have children biologically. Until one day, I came to the casino. That was when I was taken in by the devil. My life was about to change for good. We made a deal in trading my soul for being his right hand man, and being a king. and here I am now. All is left is to have someone to spend the rest of my life with. A queen that can rule by my side to live a happy life. At first I vowed to never allow myself to fall for anyone, otherwise the boss would kill me. But after seeing you sing at the casino that night, I knew I was wrong. After the boss and I were defeated by the cup brothers a year ago, We thought we've lost everything. Now, we finally have our groove back." I looked at her with a bit of sadness. But I know no one would take pity for anyone like me. I guess....maybe i'm not good enough for her. Just then, unexpectedly, she held my hand and stared with those gorgeous (E/C) eyes. She then spoke to me in a Soft tone. "I'm so sorry you had to go through all that." I was at loss for words. I wasn't expecting her to say something like that to me. "My mother died when I was a baby. And my father was an alcoholic. I was always getting beaten by him since I was a child. By the time I was 12, Due to the abuse my father did to me, I was taken in by my grandparents and they took care of me until I was old enough to move out on my own and decided to live here in inkwell isle for a better future in life. I know times in past were tough. But well all need to move on somehow. Right?" I softly smiled at her and nodded. She smiled back at me. It was the first time I ever seen her smile. It just made my day. We headed back to the casino as night fell. She was yawning non stop. It was very cute to see her yawn by the way. It's so....childlike. As we were about to head to our room, she stopped me. "Is something wrong?" She shook her head and responded. "I.....wanted to thank you for trying to make me feel better. I was thinking we can.....go out again soon?" She softly smiles at me and I responded. "Of course. Anything for you doll." she then slowly came up to me and kisses my cheek. "Goodnight..." she said that as she heads into the room. I blushed and I rubbed the cheek where she kissed me at. I softly smiled day dreaming. Until MangoSteen showed up. "King Dice and (Y/N) sitting in a tree! K.I.S.S.I.N-" I shoved a half eaten corn dog in his mouth and looked at him with annoyance. "Shut the hell up you damn talking ball!" he floats away with the corn dog in his mouth. Just then Mr.wheezy comes up to me. "Well Dice? How did it go?" I chuckled. "It went great. We had the time of our lives." wheezy smiles widely and pats me on the shoulder. "Ya see? I told you it'll work out! So. you planning to go out again?" I nodded with full of confidence. "I may be planning on taking her out to dinner in a week. I gotta be prepared for it." wheezy laughs. "Atta boy Dice! I gotta say. You got yourself a catch. Haha!" he walks off and I chuckled. "Yeah....she sure is...." well. So far, so good. Things are taking a turn for the better for us. I just know she'll soon forget cupface and his stupid lackey brother mughead. And All of inkwell isle will adore us and not treat me like I'm some loser in the streets, especially to the boss. Besides, he already has his hands full. So far. He has plenty of souls to collect and re collect.....that includes....mine and hers too....speaking of which, I better go see what the boss is up to.
