BETH: I'm sorry for falling asleep on you last night. I was beat!
He gave her a kiss on the cheek then bit into his toast
KELLY: I knew how tired you were.
BETH: It was a good night, apart from you know who turning up!
KELLY: I know. How many songs did you end up singing?
BETH: I cant remember (laughing)
KELLY: Well I got them all on my phone!
BETH: You're so sad!
KELLY: Don't tell anyone!! So, what are you doing today?
BETH: A food shop before your mom and dad fly out.
KELLY: Remember i'm wearing my last squad shirt
BETH: I'll wash them today. If you need anything let me know,
KELLY: I will
BETH: Do you want more coffee?
KELLY: Just a little, i need to check the water and oil in the truck before i leave for shift
TIME: 7.50AM
PLACE: Firehouse 51
Kelly was standing in his office staring out of the window when Matt walked past to go into his office.
MATT: Severide! Are you alright?
KELLY: Yeah!
MATT: You were staring into space
KELLY: I'm good
MATT: And Beth?
KELLY: I can't stop thinking about what that Mark said last night
MATT: What? That she won't stay with you? That's bullshit!
KELLY: That he'll wait for her
MATT: Kelly she's not going anywhere! Beth loves you
KELLY: I saw the way they looked at each other! The way that all the women looked at him, even Gabby and Foster!
MATT: Yeah, well there's no denying he's not a good looking guy, but he's a prick!
KELLY: I'm scared I'll lose her.
MATT: Stop it!
Chief Boden was standing in the doorway
BODEN: Kelly, join me in my office please
Matt patted Kelly's back as he walked past to go with Boden. The Chief stood in front of his desk and looked at Kelly
BODEN: What's bothering you Kelly?
KELLY: That Mark turned up at Molly's last night.
BODEN: And?
