A few days later
DATE: Thursday 25th July 2019
TIME: 10.30AM
PLACE: Home, pool area
Jennifer and Benny were still staying at the house. Kelly was home from shift and they were all sitting by the pool apart from Beth who was sat in the kids pool with Rosie and Ellie.
BETH: Don't you splash me Rosie!
Rosie laughed. Beth looked across at Kelly, he was miles away.
BETH: Earth to Kelly! (laughing)
KELLY: Sorry.
He looked at her and smiled
BETH: What's on your mind?
KELLY: Nothing, I'm gonna go get a drink. Who wants one?
BETH: Just bring out a jug of water
KELLY: Sure!
Kelly got up from his seat and walked into the kitchen, he sighed out loud as he rested his hands on the kitchen counter. His thoughts were disturbed by a text message, he read it then put his phone back in his pocket. When he went back outside with the jug of water Beth was sat at the table and Benny was in the pool with the girls
KELLY: Are You enjoying yourself pops? (laughing)
Rosie was pouring water over his head with her watering can.
BENNY: Yeah! living the dream!(laughing)
JENNIFER: It keeps him out of trouble! What are you two doing today?
BETH: I want to go a see Mary about venues for renewing our wedding vows
Kelly never said anything, he took a drink of water.
BETH: Why don't you go to bed for a little while, something is obviously bugging you
KELLY: Yeah, I think I will.
Kelly stood up and gave Beth a kiss
KELLY: I love you
BETH: I love you too
Kelly walked away with his glass of water
JENNIFER: He probably had a bad call last night.
BETH: Yeah, no doubt he'll tell me all about it later
When Kelly reached the bedroom his phone rang. He answered it.
KELLY: Please don't call or text me again,....... What? No........ I'm going to tell her!
Kelly hung up then lay on the bed and closed his eyes.
A few hours later Beth had been to see Mary then her mom, Alan and Daniel came over for lunch, made by Anton. Kelly was still in bed.
Beth could feel Daniel staring at her while they were eating lunch. When they were clearing away the plates in the kitchen Beth spoke to him
