Chapter 4

"What are you talking about? Of course I'm Eleanor..." I said awkwardly, scratching the back of my neck.

"No you're not. I was with you all day when supposedly you 'hit your head and got amnesia'. You never hit your head! Plus, the real Eleanor doesn't have a birthmark on her collarbone. Also, your eyes are a tint darker than hers. You might be able to fool the boys, but I know who my best friend is." Danielle replied, crossing her arms and staring at me skeptically.

"Come with me." I muttered and took her hand, dragging her into the bathroom. I checked all the stalls, to find the bathroom completely empty.

"Care to explain?" she asked, tapping her foot on the tiled floor.

"You're right, I'm not Eleanor." I started.

"Then who are you? And where's the real Eleanor? She isn't dead is she?! Did you kill her?!"

"Shut up! No, I didn't kill her!" I exclaimed.

"Then where is she? What's going on?"

"Eleanor said she wanted a break from the fans and paparazzi. Just until everything cools down. I came on a vacation to London for a few days and I ran into one of Eleanor's body guards. He told her about me, giving her the idea that we switch lives. So now your Eleanor is in Texas, and I'm here." I explained.

"That does sound like something El would do." she paused. "So who are you?"

"Arielle Mihalic. I guess you understand everything now."  I answered. She nodded.

"Well, it's nice to meet you Arielle. I'm Danielle, but you can call me Dani." she smiled, and stuck her hand out for me to shake. I took it, giving it a small shake.

"You can call me El. It kinda worked that the two of us have the same nickname." I shrugged. Dani nodded and began walking back out the door.

"And Dani?" I asked. She turned to face me.

"Yeah?"

"Please don't tell anyone, especially Louis." I spoke quietly.

"I wont, I promise." she smiled and gently pulled me to the coffee stand.

"Hey El?" Dani called.

"Yep?"

"No matter what happens, promise we'll stay friends?" she asked.

"Of course." I smiled and gave her a hug.
