Chapter 26

I pulled away and stared at his apologetic expression.

"I-I'm sorry." he mumbled, still not moving away.

"Hey when's din-" Louis' voice stopped short.

"Nope, nothing in your eye! Just go rinse it out." I chirped. Niall caught on and walked away, rubbing his eye.

"Maybe he has pink eye." Louis shrugged and pulled a noodle out of the pot.

"I don't know. Maybe." I lied.

"Are you okay?"

"Fine. Perfect. Dandy." I spoke quickly.

"Okay then... Liam wont shut up about Danielle." he said, changing the subject.

Thank you Lord. I calmed down a bit before responding.

Stay cool...

"Danielle wont shut up about Liam." I giggled, pouring the sauce in the noodles.

"We should get them back together." Louis winked, nudging me.

"Already on that." I stuck out my tongue.

"No fair! I wanted to!" he pouted.

"You don't know how." I joked and butt bumped him.

"I do too!" he retorted, crossing his arms.

"You keep thinking that, babe." I winked.

"Shaddup. ARIELLE MADE FOOD!" he screamed, then smirked at me.

"GOD BLESS AMURICA!" Zayn yelled, running into the kitchen. "I thought we'd have to eat take out again."

"I'm not hungry. I think I'm gonna go for a walk." I muttered when Niall walked into the kitchen.

"But you're always hungry." Harry said through a mouthful of food.

"Not today. I'll see you guys later." I faked a smile and walked out the door. I shut off my phone and walked down the back path and into the woods.

I needed time to think.

Why didn't I push Niall away? Should I tell Louis? What do I say to Niall? Do I stand a distance or pretend like nothing happened?
