"How deep do you think the water is?"
"Haven't you been in the water before?"

"My dad doesn't let me, says I'll get hurt."
"Oh?"

"Do you think it's shallow?"
"It's shallow."

"Will my bones break?"
"What?"

"Would it be painful?"
"I could be painful."

She turned around to the boys "what do you think would happen if I fell?"

"You'd shatter, like porcelain."

Everyone went silent.

Porcelain, porcelain, why'd everyone assume she was fragile?
Everyone thought she would break, shatter, why?

They began talking once more.

Did she really look that frail and weak?

Was she?

She walked to the edge.

The water looked dirty.

Was it really shallow?

She slipped off her shoes and sat down.
What if she fell right now?

What if she died, right now?
Would the boys walk away unfazed?

What would Johnathan do?
Probably nothing.

In fact it'd be better if the water were shallow, then she wouldn't be worried about holding him back.
She inched more and more off the edge.

What would happen?
She inched so she was just barely on.

"What are you doing?"
And she fell.
