It had been three years after Dr. Eggman's defeat. In the process of said defeat, it killed everyone's Blue Blur, Sonic the Hedgehog, and much beloved princess, Sally Acorn. There was a two hour long funeral for their passing. The Freedom Fighters disbanded after the loss of Sonic and Sally. After that, no one has seen most of them since then. Not long after, King Acorn had fallen ill. Right before his passing, he assigned Shadow the Hedgehog his role as King of Mobius. Three years later, Shadow is still King of Mobius.
