“Are you ready?” The receptionist asked as we stood behind a big brown wooden door.

“I am kind of nervous,” I admitted as I looked at the receptionist worriedly.

“Well that means you are ready,” The receptionist knocked on the door causing me to gasp as I knew I
had to be ready and I wasn't.

“Mr. Davison, I have Miranda here for her late interview,” I stood still as nothing happened.

It was completely silent.

“Maybe he isn’t here,” I suggested to the receptionist, but she wasn’t having it.

She twisted the door nob before pushing the door open. She then pushed me inside before shutting the door close behind me.

I stood in the middle of a well-organized room not knowing what to do. A movement on my left side caught my attention. It was then that I saw the back of someone sitting
on a chair with headphones on.

The person seemed to be watching something and didn’t notice my presence. I slowly walked towards the person to see it was a man wearing a grey suit. I crept closer until I was right behind the man.

It was then that I saw what he was watching properly.

I couldn’t believe my naked eyes.

He was watching PewDiePie.

I stood there not knowing if I should laugh or just sneak out of the
room.

But I really wanted this job. I could have died on my way due to my dad's awful driving.

I had put so much effort.

“Excuse me sir?”

I said loudly but he didn’t even stir
just continued to watch PewDiePie criticize a fellow youtuber.

I couldn’t help but giggle a bit.

This whole situation was becoming ridiculous. I took a step closer to the man and gave his shoulder a
light tap.

That did the trick.

He immediately pulled down his headphone and turned to face.

That is when I had the biggest shock of my life.

He was the same man I pushed into the fountain on graduation!

I am definitely not getting this job. He wouldn't hire someone like.

He probably hates me.

The man stared at me for a while before laughing out loud.

Oh great! Here comes the jokes.

“The look on your face has made my day. Wow I can’t believe we meet again after you decided to dunk me as your graduation celebration.”

“It was my sister I-“ The man interrupted me by laughing loudly and getting up from his seat.

I watched nervously as he pulled out an extra chair and placed it next to him. Once he stopped laughing he gestured for me to sit on it.

“I was just having a laugh Miranda. Let us put the fountain situation aside for now and let’s talk about this job.”

I couldn’t believe how nice he was being as he seemed very annoyed at the time of the incident. I thought
he would be ready to kick me out the building.

“Right so what do you know about the position you want Miranda?”

“I am going to be working for someone and helping them with different task,” Davison nodded at me before giving me a smile and taking down some notes.

“Have you ever done anything like this before?” He asked as he watched me carefully.

“No, I haven’t,” Unless he considers me losing a bet to my sister and being her slave for a day as a good example of person assistant experience.

I watched as Davison took some more notes down.

He seemed to take long writing them down, yet I wasn’t saying much.

“Okay Miranda so please tell me why you want the job and why you think it is good for you?”

Well I want the job because I need money and I think I am good for it because I would look bomb as
freak in an office.

I smiled at my thoughts before answering the question. “I want the job because I feel like I would be able to develop in my communication and teamwork skills. I also believe that I have a lot to offer such as fast thinking, great confidence, politeness and being able to work under pressure. This job is good for me because not only would it be helping me to develop but it would open my eyes to the areas where I need improvement. I think working in such a great company like this can help me find more skills I have that I am unaware of and can use to help develop this company.”

Davison scribbled down more notes as I looked around the room feeling more comfortable than before.

I noticed a family picture on the wall. In the picture I could recognise Davison standing next to a woman most likely his wife. Also, in the
picture were two boys and a girl. I could tell that the picture was taken a while ago because Davison had
black thick hair in the picture and now his hair was fair and light.

“Right, I think I have enough on you Miranda. I don’t want to stay here questioning you too long as I
have a meeting in ten minutes,” Davison said as he looked at his watch. “Now five minutes!”

“Time likes to run,” I said quietly, and Davison chuckled as he went to open the door before going back to his desk.

“It sure does,” I stood up and wore my bag over my shoulder.

“I just want you to quickly meet my son Richard. He can then take you down to the reception after. Is that okay?”

“Yes sure,” I said before Davison quickly dialed a number. I could hear him ringing someone, but the
person wasn’t picking.

“It’s because I am looking for a personal assistant for my son, so I want you two to meet,” I nodded and smiled but I couldn’t help but worry.

What if his son is rude?

What if he doesn’t like the look of me?

I mean I want a job, but I don’t want one which would make me uncomfortable.

“Richard bring your ass up here. Me and Miranda are waiting!” Davison slammed the phone down before slowly turning to face me.

“I am sorry about my language. Richard is very difficult at times. He is at the stage where he thinks he can do what he wants when he wants. Its mainly because he is earning a lot and feels like he is his own person.”

“He would soon find out the hard way that he isn’t his own person,” I said to Davison causing him to smile at me proudly.

“You sound smarter than him yet you are younger. You might actually be able to teach him a thing or two,” I
stood still as my palms started to sweat.

Teach him a thing or two?

I can only do that if I am working for Richard...

“Wait does that mean I have got the job?” I asked with excitement and fear.

“What job?” I turned around to see the most attractive man in a navy suit.

He looked very annoyed as his eyes went from me to Davison.

“Richard I want you to meet your new personal assistant Miranda,” I gasped causing Davison and Richard
to both look at me.

I guess my question was answered.

I got the job.

Guess I didn’t need my certificates.

LOL.
