Editor's Note: I normally post earlier in the day than this, but it's still Tuesday in California. Since California is where I live, that's what matters! I've been having a major case of writer's block over the last week, so this chapter might be kinda blah, and I'll probably end up re-editing it a couple times. Hopefully, my writer's block will resolve itself before my next posting day.

I hurriedly pushed Cho away, and raked my hand through my own already-messy hair in irritation. I turned to Knock, growling out the command, "Get back into the room!"

Cho shrugged nonchalantly, and turned to smile at Knock.

"The liquid..." Knock said in a deadpan tone, "I can't get it all out, what do I do?"

"Huh?" I was clueless.

"YOUR liquid." He clarified simply, reinforcing the pronoun.  Only then did it dawn on me what he meant. Knock must have thought that Cho wasn't going to understand what he meant.

I turned to look at Cho and smirked at his dumbfounded face, and gave him the same nonchalant shrug he'd given me earlier. "Get out, and make sure you lock the door behind you."

Cho clearly understood that he had to surrender this battle; all he could do was take the borrowed manga and leave quietly. However I clearly saw the gleam of Cho's fighting spirit in his eyes; this battle might be lost, but the war was far from over. I had no doubt there would be more battles to come. In the meantime, I needed to help Knock's sort out his trouble first, because I was the trouble maker!

After we showered and had breakfast, we had a few necessary domestic errands to take care of; we'd gone through most of the toiletry items in the washroom, as well as needed to pick up some other miscellaneous household items. Although we hadn't explicitly discussed it, it was pretty clear we were going to end up living together in one fashion or another, probably switching between our respective apartments from time to time.

Other than that, nothing about our day to day relationship had changed; we still had a great time together and our comfortable way of speaking to each other stayed the same.

Allow me to explain:

Everyone knew Knock and I loved smoking cigarettes. We never stopped each other from playing pranks on other people (or each other, for that matter) while we were drunk, among the other ridiculous things university guys did in their spare time.

We also had a lot of the same adventurous, thrill-seeking type hobbies; crazy roller coasters, bungee jumping, even skydiving. These were all things none of our other friends were in to, so it seemed normal to everyone that he and I did all these things together.  Knock and I had an overindulgent lifestyle, especially during our term break; we were drunk all the time, and practically lived at the pub. Neither of us was gonna try to stop the other, so it fell to Yiwha, Phent, and Deoy to take care of us and make sure we didn't end up face down in a waterway in one of Bangkok's suburbs.

Knock and I had one really important thing in common; we both believed that we only lived once, so we played hard, living our lives to the fullest and without restraint. We did some crazy shit sometimes, but we weren't hurting anyone else, right?

So, Knock and I were more like best friends, just best friends that shared literally everything, including sex. In many ways, we were probably closer than most married couples; Yiwha said we were feeding off each other's disreputable habits, but Knock and I were clear on what we were doing, and that was all the mattered.

Anyway, we eventually made it out of the house, and after what seemed like ages of driving in circles in this city's never ending traffic jam (E/N: There is literally a Doctor Who episode about this called "Gridlock"; both times I've been to Bangkok, I was constantly reminded of that episode!), we finally got a spot in MU Mall. It was a good thing that I was the one driving today; I don't get upset when other drivers cut me off or forget to signal. My co-pilot on the other hand, was losing his shit in the passenger seat.
