During the first week, the professors mostly just introduced themselves and we did very little work, so we didn't have many things to do during the weekend, which left us all able to hang out without a problem.
Just like every other week, the boys met up on Friday to rehearse their dances and Yerin and I tagged along. We both headed out to a nearby store to buy snacks and drinks for when they stopped to rest and Yerin seemed to be absent-minded, so I decided to ask her.
"Are you okay, Yerin?" I asked her.
"Yes, don't worry," she said coming back to her senses. "I was just thinking about something."
"Why does everyone keep telling me that whenever I ask? I know you were thinking about something. I guessed that much," I told her. "What I mean is: what exactly are you thinking about?"
"I guess I will have to tell you sooner or later..." she said as we walked back to the dance studio. "Jihoon and I are currently on «trial-mode» in a way."
"What do you mean?" I asked her confused.
"We aren't exactly dating, but we are seeing how things work between us as a couple. It's difficult to explain..."
"What?! You are dating?!" I exclaimed and stopped walking from the shock. "Why didn't you tell me before?!"
"I already told you we are on «trial-mode». We aren't officially dating," she told me. "I didn't want to tell you until it was official."
"What I don't get is why you two are on that «trial-mode» thing. You were basically dating unofficially before, so I don't see the difference," I joked.
"Well, I now kiss him and before I didn't. I think that's a great enough difference," she said cockily. "You and Wonwoo haven't taken that step yet, have you?"
"Who do you think I am? We did!" I said shocking her this time. "Back in Spain. We sneaked out one night and it just sort of... happened."
"Girl, we need to talk way more often!" She exclaimed. "We need to know about these things! It's best-friend code!"
"Okay, okay!" I said wrapping my free arm around her shoulders. "Let's go back before the hungry monsters are awakened!"
When we were back at the studio, Yerin and I left the bags on the table at the side and sat down to watch them finish dancing to the song they were working on at the moment. After it finished, Yerin and I cheered for them and they immediately ran towards us to get the food and drinks.
"You are drenched in sweat," I told Wonwoo, who sat down next to me. "Did you bring a towel or something?"
"I did, it's on my bag," he said. "But I am too tired to stand up to get it."
"Lazy ass!" I said standing up and getting it for him. "You were all amazing, by the way. You don't cease to amaze me."
"I wish I had your dancing skills..." Yerin said leaning onto Jihoon's shoulder.
Although they were very close before, after what Yerin had told me I couldn't help but notice how we all ignored those little actions they had together. Yerin had always been the only one with whom Jihoon tolerated any skinship. The rest of us could only give him small hugs and on very few occasions.
"You two dance very well, don't lie!" Jun exclaimed. "For example, when you danced that Hyuna song... how was it called?"
"«Red»?" Hoshi said and Jun nodded. "When did they dance that?"
"They didn't properly dance it, but they did part of it one day at the karaoke last year," Jun explained. "You two seemed to know it."
"We kind of do, yes," Yerin told them. "But it's in no way as powerful as any of your dances and we destroy the original dance."
"It doesn't matter!" Seungkwan said pulling her up. "Dance!"
"Dance! Dance!" They all began chanting.
"Oh, come on, guys!" I refused. "I don't want to embarrass myself!"
"Let's do it just for the laugh, Eunji!" Yerin exclaimed before whispering in my ear. "I also really want to see Wonwoo and Jihoo's reaction, to be honest."
I didn't need any other incentive to finally give in and dance with her. I wasn't that good at sexy dances but I was willing to try my best just to get reactions out of them.
When the song began, Yerin and I turned serious yet flirty and danced along, even sending each other smirks and smiles from time to time as well as interacting with each other.
Apart from being heavily concentrated on the dance, I also paid attention to the boys' reactions which were worth capturing. The Booseoksoon trio, Jun, Vernon and Chan were laughing hysterically while the oldest boys - including my brother- had their jaws hanging low.
"Wonwoo, watch where your eyes are looking at!" Joshua said snapping him out of his trance. "You too, Jihoon!"
"How do you expect me to remain unbothered while watching this, huh?!" Wonwoo exclaimed making everyone laugh. "I'm human too, you know?"
"Okay, okay!" Said Seungcheol standing up to stop the music. "I will forget you ever did this and pretend that you are still my cute little sisters..."
"My Seungcheol!" Yerin said hugging his arm. "Did you really think we were that naive and prudish?"
"Well, definitely not you after seeing you take that body shot off Jihoon!" Seungcheol told her.
"You did what?!" The boys from my university and I exclaimed at the same time.
"In my defense, I will say we were both very drunk and it was at a party!" She said quickly. "Besides, at least it was with him and not some random stranger."
