Ever since our parents went to Korea, Joshua and I couldn't even breathe without them having something to say about it. It was true that Joshua and I had been raised in a Catholic household and that my parents were strict with us when we were younger but they seemed to have become even worse. In their eyes, we were turning into Satan himself.
"Where are you going now?" My father asked me one of the mornings as I prepared to go to work. "You only have class in the afternoons."
"I'm going to work, dad. Rent doesn't pay itself," I confessed, not even bothering to lie to them in case something worse happened when they found out. "I work at the cafe on weekdays too."
"And when do you study? We sent you here to study, not to work at a cafe," my father said.
"I study during breaks and at night, dad," I told him. "The day has twenty-four hours and I work for six."
"Since when do you answer back so easily?" He asked me. "Things with you are far worse than I thought."
Thankfully, before my father and I could fight, Mingyu knocked on the door to take me to work and I couldn't have been more thankful. I even had to resist the urge to kiss him then and there.
"Shall we leave now?" He asked me and I nodded. "See you later, Mr Hong!"
"See you later, son!" My father told him with a smile before we both left.
As soon as I closed the door, I let out a sigh and took out my phone to text Yeonyoo to not come out of her room in at least half an hour so she didn't have to face my father.
"Did you two fight?" Mingyu asked me and I nodded. "I thought you had a good relationship with your parents."
"It's not that. It's just... they have only been here for what? Three days? And they have already managed to scare Yeonyoo off and to get to my nerves," I told him. "I am afraid of even raising my voice a little in case they have something to say."
"Well, at least they trust me still," Mingyu said with a chuckle. "Don't worry, I'm sure it's just because they are trying to test Yeonyoo. You said once that you changed a lot ever since you came to Korea, so they may be having a hard time adjusting to the new you."
"New me? I'm just my true self!" I joked as I hopped into his scooter. "By the way, did the scooter pass the MOT in the end?"
"Yes, I was actually surprised but they told me it was all okay," he said hopping on too. "I guess this antediluvian thing is still rocking."

Later at night, when Mingyu and I came back from class, Wonwoo told us he needed to talk to all of us, so we all gathered at his flat to leave my parents alone. We apparently would be discussing the OST issue since Jihoon had already prepared all the songs we needed.
"Alright!" Wonwoo said clapping his hands. "After a lot of work, we have finally finished preparing the ten songs that will be part of the OST. The ones with lyrics, that is."
"I really want to listen to them now!" I exclaimed.
"Wait a minute, Eunji. Let me finish and we will listen to the demos later," Wonwoo told me. "Anyways, I will now hand each of you the lyrics of the songs that you will need to record with the date and time in which they will be recorded."
We then were handed the papers and I noticed I had three papers. For the first song, «Sickness» I would be singing it with Mingyu; for the second, «Over My Skin», I would be singing alone; and for the last one, «Mamma Mia» I would be singing with all of the girls.
"Thank you to Joshua, Minghao and Jun for helping with the English and the Chinese lyrics," Jihoon said to them. "Please, check everything is correct. Mingyu and Eunji should be singing «Sickness», Joshua and Yeonyoo should be singing «Lean on Me», Jun should be singing «I'm sorry, I love you (对不起,我爱你)», Yerin and I «Simple», Minghao «Dreams Come True», Mingyu «Like the beginning», Seokmin and Eunyoo «Missed Connections», Eunji «Over My Skin», and finally all of the girls should be singing «Mamma Mia»."
"What about «Pretty U»? I have it here," Seungcheol asked. "Isn't this one of our old ones? Yeonyoo and Eunji even recorded a music video for it as a class project."
"We decided to add it last minute since the girls had the group one," Jihoon explained. "Since it was already recorded we won't have to worry about it that much. We will just be perfecting it and recording it at a better studio, but I thought I would add them to the lyrics we gave you just to remind you that it would be on the movie."
"I can't wait to see the final results!" Chan exclaimed. "Especially for the girls' song. I want to see how they do!"
"I am actually very nervous about it, to be completely honest," Eunyoo confessed. "One thing were the two lines we recorded for «Heaven» and another is to record a full song."
"Don't worry, you will do just fine," Seokmin assured her and squeezed her hand since he was sitting down next to her. "Besides, it's not like this movie is going to be shown at the cinema or anything. It's just a university project."
"Speaking of which, I wanted to ask the girls if it was okay to shoot a video for their song too," Mingyu said. "For next years' projects and all."
"Fine by me!" I told him.
"Same here!" Yeonyoo said. "You let us do the same earlier this year, so it only seems fair."
"As long as it is just for a project, I'm okay with it," Yerin told him.
"Same thing over here," Eunyoo finished.
"Perfect. Let's start listening to all of the songs now, shall we?" Wonwoo said before playing all of the demos one by one.
