Part 1 - chapter two

The man in suit

I stood there, confused, and scared. This man knew my name, does this mean he knows Damian? The man stood up and walked over to the table that had the tools and weapons Ellana would torture me with. "Aiden, did you know that an ordinary vampire can last a day and a half without blood. They can even still fight at 70% of their strength. However for some reason, your family broke that barrier? How? Why is it that countless people over the years have tried to kill your family and failed spectacularly? Then I realized something. Each faction has there Alpha dogs, the ones that over rule everything. A family that is not like the rest. For the werewolves its the Travic pack in Canada. For the humans well, there just dumb. However for the vampires its almost like that rule doesn't apply to them. Over 10 centuries the Head Family has remained on top. Yet your family has been the only in that span of time that seems to give hardship. At first I thought that it was because people could change and get stronger naturally, you know natural selection or whatever that the humans like to call it. As I looked deeper I started to see that without their powers, the head family is weaker than your family. That's why they have those extra powers."

The pain grew as the blade forced through my back. I tried not to scream as it slowly was slicing my insides and now my flesh. "P-please, h-help me, ill, ill tell you whatever you want!" I cried out for him to save me, I just want some clearity...

Cedric's pov

          Once we burned Ellana's body we went to Fathers room. He was standing there with his knife that he never left behind. That knife kills anything it comes into contact with. It was a gift by some guy from six centuries ago. The man was definitely stronger than us. Father was the only one that stood a slim chance. The guy wasn't a vampire or werewolf. My dad said he was a man that has existed even before the first couple. A man that dared to stand up against the creator of all things. The man was said to be immortal but fair. He granted wishes inturn for favors. He liked to mess with history and seeing what he could cause, in hopes of pissing off his father, whoever that may be?

"Are they dead!?"

          My father turned to us as he asked. Gripping the knife tighter as he waited for an answer. Celest and I stood there in fear. He is gonna kill us. "I said, are they DEAD!!" He slammed the desk into the wall smashing it as he rose us both into the air. Both of us were in pain trying to breathe. Then Celest finally spoke, "Ellana is dead, we burned her body!" He choked her more as he got angry, "and the Lunar pack!?" I quickly spoke to try and make him release us. "Father, we met Damian and his mutts, we were able to nock them out but Damian was too much, he turned, he turned!!" My Father's face showed something ive never seen. Fear. He released us as he paced from the window and back punching the window and throwing things acrossed the room out of rage. "You guys should of went for the pack first, you damn idiots. Damian accesed his Alpha state, making him more of a damn threat! If he masters that were as good as dead!" Celest and I looked at each other trying to figure out how bad this was...

Aidens Pov - 3 years ago

"Aiden!"

          That was Tyler, he is my boyfriend. He is a vampire just like me. Except for being one of the head families hitmen. He always had great reflexes and was excellent with a pistol. He could kill anything he was sent after, no hesitation, no mercy. The only downside to being with him is, well, me. I hate it when he kills the wolves. I dont see anything wrong with them. In my opinion there only trying to live like everyone else. So I told him not to tell me when he is going to kill them.

          "Hey sweetie!" Tyler looked so happy to see me, but I wasnt really the best right now. I just looked away and back to my boring work before my first test to become a royal guard for the head family. "Babe, whats wrong?" He sat next to me. Then I quickly hugged him and finally told him. "Bryan is dead. They sent one of our hitmen after him and they slaughtered him. They almost killed his brother. Until they seen that he was one of the lunar packs Alpha. Then they ran! Tyler Bryan is dead!!"

          Then slowly Tyler let go of me and walked to the window and gripped the handle tightly. "Whats wrong tyler?" I said while standing up. Tyler turned around with tears in his eyes, "it was me, Aiden, I I I killed him. I had no choice!" My heart sank. I slowly backed up as he tried to get closer to me. "You you what!?" There was no way this is real! "Baby please, just listen to me!" He tried to grab my hand but I didnt let him, I was too anyry and I snapped. I shoved him into the wall cracking it behind him. I felt my eyes changing, only this time they were stinging, and I could see so clearly. "How could you! I trusted you, and you snitched!" He quickly used his speed to pin me down, with shock in his eyes. "Aiden your losing control again, you dont want to fight me, you wont win." A smile came acrossed my face as I slowly got my hands free. As soon as I got free I punched him throwing him back. Tyler and I both got up and he wiped blood off of his lips.

"If its a fight you want, then your a traitor!"
