Chapter 21

Y/n's POV

As I got closer, I realized why he was stopped. He was figuring how to get through.

I looked at a big sign next to us.

"Danger. Mines."

Are they crazy?!

While I has stood there in a daze, people started to pass me. My eyes widened.

Unknowing of any other options, I began to charge through, trying to avoid the mines.

I stopped avoiding the mines.

I was trying so hard yet falling behind.

That's when I got an idea.

My eyes started to glow while I ran.

The people in front of me stopped moving.

My head started to throb.

"What's this?! Everyone stopped!" Present Mic shouted. "This seems to be the quirk of Class 1-A's Y/n L/n!"

I flinched. Great, now everyone knows what I can do.

I kept running as fast as I could, but was beginning to slow down.
My eye's glow faded.
People began to move. I was still behind Bakugo and Todoroki.

I heard a giant explosion in the back. I looked up and saw Midoriya flying forward.

Fuck, now I'm in 4th place?!

Todoroki began making a path of ice as he ran.

Why didn't I think of that?

I began making disks of water to run on in front of me.

I looked at Todoroki.

My eyes started to glow once again.

If I could at least get 3rd place, I'd be happy.

He looked angry as he struggled to move.

Midoriya cleared the minefield.

Then Bakugo.

After I passed Todoroki and had gotten a few feet ahead of him, my power wore off.

Midoriya and Bakugo are too far ahead for me to immobilize them... I got frustrated.

I huffed as I ran.

Think, Y/n. Think...

I grinned.

This'll really piss them off... Let's do it.

The finish line was just ahead; the hallway back into the stadium. It was just big enough for people.

Fairly small.

I gathered as much water as I could with the energy I had left, creating an ice barrier infront of the door before Midoriya could get through it.
He slammed into it.

He looked surprised.

Bakugo slammed right into it after him.

"Damn it, Water Witch!" He shouted angrily at me as I caught up, unfreezing enough for just myself to slip through.

I heard an explosion behind me as my ice wall was broken.

A flash of orange passed me.

I watched helplessly as Bakugo entered the stadium before me.
