A Love So Strong

Chapter 6- Joey's POV

I'm in the middle of driving home, thinking about today's events, when it hits me. I like Shane. Why should I hide it? I quickly turn my car around and go back to Shane's. I'm so nervous but I need to just get it off my chest! How am I going to tell him? Am I just going to come out and say it or should I drop little hints...

Ah I have no idea what I'm doing! I just feel inside that it's time I tell him. And who knows. Maybe there's a small chance he likes me, too!...small...very small. But what if this ruins our friendship? I don't want to lose him. I'm now sitting in the parking lot of Shane's apartment building. I probably look like a crazy person sitting here talking to myself. "UGH DON'T BE A BABY!" I scream to my self. I get out of the car and lock the door. I walk up to Shane's door and knock.

"WHO IS IT?!" I hear Shane shout.

"Um, it's Joey!" I shout back. I hear him unlock the door and open the door.

"Miss me already?! Haha." He laughs.

"Ha you know it!" I say sarcastically.

"Did you need something?" He asks.

"Um I was wondering i-if I could come in and talk for a little bit?" I hesitantly asked.

"Hell yah! I was actually just thinking how bored I was when I'm by myself." He said with excitement.

"Great! Thanks!" I said, equally excited.

"Come on in. I was just *rushes to turn off tv* watching some tv. What's up?"

I sit on the couch and Corny greets me.

"OH MY GOODNESS GRACIONIOUS HI HI HI!!!" I shout as I pet her and love her. "Nothing's up really. It's been a while since we hung out like all day and I didn't have any plans and I just wanted to hang out with you." I admitted, still petting Corny.

"I know! I miss hanging out! I guess I never realized how much of my time Lisa took up. Well it's gonna be just me and you for a while, ok?!"

"Ok!" I eagerly say. Inside I'm screaming. He wants to hang out with me! Maybe he'll develop feelings for me like I have for him. Who knows. A boy can dream!
