A loud giggle escapes her lips, her eyes vibrant. "You're an idiot!"
His eyes always seemed to enchant her, today being no exception. "I'll carry you if I have to!" He exclaims, a heavy laugh coming from him.
Her bright dress blows in the wind, her hair tangling behind her. The big, sun hat looked ridiculous yet oddly endearing on her small frame.
With loud giggles echoing, she runs through the warm sand. Like a hunter, he runs behind her, a smile plastered on his lips.
The receding waves made loud crashing noises when they came back up to hit the shoreline, making the environment comforting.
His hands grip her hips when he finally catches up to her, "Got you." He mumbles into her ear with a smile.
She shakes her head, a laugh leaving her. She looks into the distance, taking in the scenery. "This is all so...perfect." She murmurs, her eyes nearly bulging out.
As his hands snake around her waist, he too looks around them.
The water looked exceptionally blue and the sky grew darker by the minute yet still managed to make everything look from out of a movie.
Although on the warmer side of usual days in Hawkins, the wind still blew and they were the few people there, most preferring public pools.
Moving her dark hair to the side, he buried his head on the crook of her neck, smelling the sweet vanilla lotion she had applied earlier.
A smile sits on her lips as he whispers sweet nothings in her ear, causing her to laugh at some.
"Kim?" He mumbles, turning her around to face him.
Fully facing him, she looks up at him with a smile, "Yeah?"
He nibbles on his bottom lip, his heart hammering in his chest, "I..uh, I think," his reddened cheeks makes her giggle.
"What do you think?" She giggles, wrapping her arms around him neck.
Her soft hands make goosebumps run down his back, "I know we've only been together for a few months," he mumbles, looking straight into her eyes.
She nods, "Yeah, I know." Her fingers play with his hair.
"But I, uh, I think...I think I'm in love with you," he admits, the words coming out of his mouth causing her to freeze.
"Nick—" Her smile grows, her eyes wide. "You what?"
He smiles at her response, his heart relieved and palms beginning to dry. "I'm in love with you Kimberly—"
"Reeves."
Startled, a quiet gasp escapes her lips. She turns to where the voice came from.
Billy's eyes meet hers, a smirk on his lips while one of his brows is raised. "You still day dreaming about me?" He chuckles, his tongue lapping over his bottom lip.
Although attempting to muster a smile, her face stays blank. She looks right through him with a small frown.
Billy notices and his smirk flattens, "You okay there?" He scoots closer to her seat.
She sighs, turning away as he sits even closer to her. "Fine." Her eyes wander around the room, taking in all its...tackiness.
Billy's brows arch, looking at the back of her head due to her looking away. "You sure?"
