The scenery was like a cliche movie.
Nicolas and Tina sat to the left of the office door while Billy and Kimberly sat on the right.Although Tina had been bleeding from the nose, she had cleaned herself up and was now attempting to flirt with Nick. He only flirted back to pass the time, if he were being honest, Tina didn't interest him one bit. Still, she giggled at his every word and he resisted the urge to roll his eyes.
Billy was busy flicking his lighter repeatedly, too concentrated on his fidgeting to care about the consequences he would face when he was sent home with a suspension.
Kimberly picked at her wrist as dread had begun to fill her thoughts. Her father, Scott, would likely yell and give a speech about what it means to be a Reeves, she had heard it before and didn't care to hear it again.
Class. That's what he had ingrained into her head since she was a small child, "a Reeves has class and never damages their reputation with trashy actions."
This would for sure be considered trashy and would guarantee being grounded until she was on her deathbed. It was ridiculous how much her father cared for her reputation.
Her thoughts were interrupted when the principal stepped out of his office. A look of annoyance was clear on his face, "Two at a time, let's make this quick." The tall man said, sighing.
Billy eyed Kimberly, waiting for her to either volunteer them or volunteer Tina and Nicolas. She didn't move, in fact, fact she was still looking forward as if not acknowledging the principal's presence.
But alas, Tina's voice emerged from the otherwise silent bunch, "I think Kimberly and Billy would like to go first, we're a little busy here."
Billy wanted to roll his eyes. But he knew nothing would come out of that, so he simply stood up, following the principal into his office.
Kimberly followed Billy, shooting a glare at Tina as Nick smirked, watching her. Kimberly caught his gaze and threw up her middle finger before closing the door behind her.
"Ms. Reeves, I must say I'm surprised." The man commented, as Billy took a seat in front of the desk and noticed the plague on his desk, Stanley Graham.
Kimberly took a seat next to Billy, meeting Mr. Graham's eyes blankly. "Yeah well, that makes two of us." She didn't mean it to sound rude, but at this point she didn't know how to control herself.
Mr. Graham's was obviously taken back by her tone but shook his head and turned to focus on Billy. "I see you're still on your fight streak Mr. Hargrove."
Billy wanted to swing at him, he hated being called that, it reminded him that eventually he'd end up like his father, as if no matter how far he ran, who he was would always catch up with him.
At the lack of response, Mr. Graham sighs, "Alright, I want this to be quick," He began pulling a stack of papers from a drawer, "I don't care who started what, I just need to know your injuries."
Billy rolled his eyes and Kimberly continued picking the skin around her wrist.
Mr. Graham stared at them blankly, a pen in his hand ready to write down whatever they said.
Billy huffed, "Can't you just give me the damn suspension paper and be done with it?" He rolled his eyes, glaring at the man.
Kimberly's ears perked up at suspension and although she knew she'd be reprimanded for fighting, she didn't know it would be a suspension.
Scott would kill her.
It was one thing to fight, but a completely different thing to be prohibited from being at school. He would be ballistic and Kimberly knew what her father would punish her with.
