In that moment, that beautiful, blissful moment, it was just them.
Nicholas no longer mattered and neither did anyone else.
Her hungry lips had not been kissed in such a manner before and she craved more. She wanted no space, she wanted him.
Likewise, Billy kissed her roughly, her clothes being an obstacle only his drunk mind ever wanted to remove.
However, he was far more sober than he'd like to admit and in the moment Billy wanted to tear them off.
A soft moan came from her as he gently tugged on her lip.
Something inside him churned at the sound, loving the way she sounded when desperate. "Fuck, Kim."
And with those words, everything came back to her.
Like a cold hard slap of reality, Kim realizes what's happening and lightly pushes Billy off her.
"Oh my god." Her eyes widen as she attempts to catch her breath. "Shit."
Billy too, returns to reality and is too, shocked and confused as to what the hell just happened.
Kim breathes heavily, her hand running through her hair. "Billy—"
Kimberly turns to Billy, who held a confused smirk on his lips. "Well, that was something." He chuckles, a charming smile on his lips.
"What?" She whispers, her heart racing while her brows furrow. How could he be so relaxed?
Billy sighs, looking at the beach in front of them. "What's wrong?" He asks, one of his eyebrows raised.
Her eyes widen, what's wrong? "What—did I just live that moment alone?" She asks puzzled. She was still in disbelief at how she had thrown herself at him.
Billy chuckles, getting up and giving a hand to Kim, who sat on the sand looking like a lost puppy. "You coming?"
With knitted brows, Kim nods, taking his hand and lifting herself off the ground. She makes her way around the car, dusting herself off before sitting down.
Billy sat at the wheel, quickly pulling the car out and like thunder, rolling down the narrow streets that lead to small town.
Kimberly's kind was still confused and oddly enough, scared. She had never questioned if she wanted more with Billy.
She questioned herself and her feelings, trying to understand where her random desire for him had appeared and how she could make it go away.
They simply didn't fit together. It was non debatable, they fit good as friends, sure, but not as more.
She was not even sure why she kissed him, or why he kissed back, but she worried for her actions.
All Kim knew was that her checks reddened and heart raced when she remembered how his lips felt on hers.
She finally understood why all the girls fawned over him, he wasn't a bad kisser and if he wasn't her friend, she'd probably spend a night with him. But he was her friend. So the thoughts stopped at the kiss.
Billy smiled to himself, still not believing the girl had the guts to kiss him. Her silence intrigued him, knowing she was reliving the moment and overthinking it.
It didn't mean much to him, a friendship is not really a friendship if an accidental kiss doesn't occur. Billy figured it was one of those, knowing she was vulnerable and not thinking straight.
