Joining the ALDC team

Competition Day

I woke up to my alarm, I was tired but then I remembered that it was competition day. I sprung out of bed, took a shower, then I changed into my t-shirt, leggings, I put a sweatshirt on over my t-shirt, then I went to put on my tennis shoes.

I grabbed me some fruit, then I headed to the car to go to the competition. Me and my mom got to the competition Kendall was already getting ready, so I got my costume from Abby changed into it and then my mom did my hair and make up
The costume was white and had sparkles on it. Once my hair and makeup was done I went to go talk to Chloe and Paige until I had to go backstage. Paige and Chloe came backstage with me so they could support me. "You are going to do great don't worry"Chloe said as number 86 came off the stage I was number 87 and Kendall was number 88. "And next we have number 87 Emma with Not Just a Pretty Face"the announcer said "good luck"Paige said to me as I walked on stage I got into my starting position. I danced my heart and I just hoped I did enough to win. "That was amazing"Paige said "yeah you are definitely going to win"Chloe said "Kendall hasn't gone yet let's not get our hopes up"I said "next we have number 88 with Not Just a Pretty Face"the announcer said as Kendall walked onto the stage. Kendall did really good and I started to get worried but I just had to hope that I beat Kendall and prove her mom wrong. Once Kendall finished we headed back into the dressing room "girls you did amazing now get ready for the group then head back stage"Abby said we got into our costumes and headed backstage to be ready for when they called our number. I started to get worried I had done this before but I was so nervous I would mess up I was shaking "before show jitters"Chloe said "yeah"I said "don't worry you will get use to it"Chloe said "And next we have number 109 ALDC with Amazing Grace"we headed out on stage and got into our starting positions. The dance was beautiful and Maddie was a great lead. We headed back into the studio I was waiting for Abby to give her opinion on the solos and the group. "The group was amazing, but the solos could of been better Emma your technique had gotten better but it still needs a lot of improvement"Abby said "I will work on it"I said "now Kendall you had great technique but you had no emotion"Abby said "I did have emotion you are just blind"I heard Kendall say under her breath so Abby couldn't hear. "Now let's head out for awards"Abby said as the moms followed Abby into the auditorium while me and the girls headed out for awards.
