Summary + cast.

Damon Salvatore and Anastasia Blake were childhood friends who became lovers at the age of fifteen. They got married at the young age of seventeen, which was no surprise to anyone in their town. A year into their marriage, Anastasia gave birth to their first son at two in the afternoon on July 19th, 1857. A year later, their youngest son, Sebastian 'Blake' Salvatore, was born at nine in the morning on October 31st, 1858. However, their happy family was soon struck by tragedy when Anastasia fell ill with a mystery illness and passed away in her husband's arms. Before she died, she expressed her wish for Damon to live a normal and happy life with their sons and to find someone to love the same way they loved each other.

If only she or anyone had known that the Salvatore family's future would be anything but happy, something would tear the family apart and change their lives forever.
