Prompt:
In our case, writing inside out (or outside in) means setting your physical or metaphorical inner bits out of doors, to be walked around and looked at from odd angles, as if they were monuments or mailboxes (as an example). Or it could be transforming your internal organs into flowers or letting a pack of four-year-old’s (human or otherwise) loose in your attic.
Write a poem today that illustrates your idea of what is inside-out.
My Poem:
Every Night, my heart gets yanked out,
riped up, and turned into paper.
My experiances are being sharped.
I dip them into the ink of my soul
and bind my spirit within my words.
I will not get that piece of me back.
Not even after I’ve left this world.
A piece of me,
outside myself,
will forever live.
Within peoples hearts,
In the back of their minds,
ingraved forever in their life,
So that it’s worth letting go another piece
for the rest of the world to find.
By this time I was so behind.
