I found myself trying to get home as soon as possible. Parking the car and heading into the house, I got changed into some black leggings and slides. I knew had no reason to dress up to go to his house. I grabbed a hoodie as well, realizing I might need it.

I didn't put it on yet though, coming back downstairs with my bag. Aunt Lara caught me with a raised brow,

"Where are you heading to?" I chuckled, putting my bag down and walking into the open kitchen where she was. I grabbed a water bottle from the fridge, trying to keep from sounding too excited... for some reason.

"Remember our neighbors? Well, they have a boy my age. He's in my chemistry class, we got assigned as partners for a lab, so I might be there awhile, he drags things on."

She laughed, looking up from bills, seeing my expression and nodding,

"Arrow boy? Have fun with that. Maybe he likes you." I scoffed, thinking back to earlier today,

"I'm sure he just loves annoying me, thanks for the input though, Aunt Lara." She simply chuckled and waved me off,

"Alright, don't come back too late. Try to finish all of your homework while you're there, I'm afraid you'll get caught up with your new friend." I rolled my eyes, trying to keep from getting embarrassed as I grabbed my bag,

"Sure." I grinned and waved, before heading out the door, closing it behind me when I muttered, "If only she knew."

I sighed, leaning back on the door for a second. I realized what I was doing, and had to take a moment to realize what a bad decision this might be. Whoever Kevin was, he seemed like hell. Only one day together and I already wanted to blow my brains out.

I took my first step, deciding not to see it like that. If anything, we might not even be speaking next week. Whatever he was trying to do, it was going to blow over.

Boys were like that, they get bored easily. The idea made me a bit annoyed, but I knew that it was true. Whatever he wanted, he was gonna get it, and he was gonna leave.

I walked over to his door, knocking rather softly. For some reason, I expected him to open it. Instead, I got Eva, his mother. She seemed surprised to find me, glancing at the bag in my hands,

"Well, hello," She began, a slight confusion in her voice, giving me a look that said, 'Why would you want to even come here after yesterday'. I tried to seem as nice as possible, guessing that she didn't often get that from Kevin,

"Hello, Mrs. Khatchadourian, me and Kevin were assigned a project together. I thought he told you I was passing by." Eva shook her head, opening the door wider with an expressionless face,

"No, he doesn't tell me things like this. Please, come in. He's upstairs showering, you can head up and wait for him if you'd like." I nodded, watching her as she gestured towards the staircase. I was about to go when I heard a soft voice,

"Mommy! Who, is she?" I turned, seeing a little girl with blonde hair. She had a cheerful yet unsure expression on her face, moving towards her mother and hiding behind her legs.

Eva formed a small smile on her face, yet glanced at me with worry. She patted her daughters head,

"She's Kevin's friend, Celie, they're gonna do homework together. Now, what do we say to guests?" I watched as Celie continued to poke her head out from behind her mother, managing a small,

"Hello... nice to meet you." I couldn't help but chuckle. Kids weren't my favorite thing in the world, but I knew better than to treat a little girl badly. I leaned down, holding out my hand and smiling,
