The clock read half past twelve and Hermione was nearly finished with the tedious translations scattered across her oak desk. Not that’s she’s complaining, Hermione Jean Granger was never one to complain about work. In fact, she enjoyed it. She loved her job as a translator in the Department of International Cooperation but today had been especially challenging. Her flight from Chile was delayed so she barely got a wink of sleep before returning to work to report her findings and catch up on a week’s worth of paperwork.

Hermione translated the last line and scribbled it on her sheet of parchment then finally relaxed into her cozy leather desk chair. Late nights and piles of paperwork flooded Hermione’s life after she graduated from Hogwarts. Her busy schedule and lack of free time tore apart her relationship with her ex boyfriend Ronald Weasley. They worked completely opposite schedules and barely saw each other for more than a few minutes at a time. This put a strain on their already rocky relationship and after two years of trying to make it work, they called it quits. Even though Ron and Hermione’s romantic relationship ended, they are still good friends and four years later, Hermione is still single and completely engrossed in her work.

Hermione quickly gathered her handbag and headed to her flat. Her home was simple, just one bedroom, a little kitchen and a lounge. The only special feature of her flat are the numerous bookshelves lining the walls. Each shelf overflow with books of all genres and lengths. From muggle classics to books on advanced transfiguration, they’re lining her shelves. Most nights she would chose a book at random and read a few chapters before bed.

She changed into pajamas and drifts off to bed, too tired to complete her daily routine.

It was common knowledge that Draco Lucious Malfoy, hated his job with a passion. Waking up at the arse crack of dawn to show wealthy muggles expensive houses was never what he wanted to do with his life but alas, he was. Draco had always dreamed of being a healer but after the war, his public image was tarnished and patients did not appreciate being treated by a death eater. So, he left his job at St. Mungo’s and opted for one out of the prying eyes of judgemental wizards.

The house he’s currently showing is nothing short of a show stopper. Seven hundred square meters, four bedrooms, five baths, a garden, swimming pool, and tall ceilings, all located in the heart of central London. For most the home is practically perfect, but for Draco’s current client is disappointed.

“It’s a bit underwhelming,” the client claimed.

Draco opened his mouth to respond but a snowy white owl perched in the backyard caught his eye. “I have a few more properties we can take a look at if you’d like but they’re over your budget so please have another look around the property before you make your final decision. Please excuse me.”

When Draco came close to the owl he was greeted by a squawk and then the bird held out it’s leg. Draco removed the letter from the animal’s leg and it gracefully flew away.
