*breaking news: I don't own anything, JK Rowling does.*

Luna Lovegood was always kind to people even when they weren’t kind to her. Even when she was called “Loony” and out of her mind, she wanted to show them that being kind, was always the best option. So, she became a counselor to help other people through their hard times and to be a voice of reason in their lives. When the ministry asked her to help with a “special project” to aid other witches and wizards through tough circumstances she jumped at the opportunity without a second thought. She didn’t as what the project was or even what her role would be, she just wanted to help. When she found out what the project was, Luna was determined to make the best matches she could and do everything she could to make the young witches and wizards cope with their relationships.

Luna knew Hermione hated taking time off of work so they scheduled their sessions over lunch every other Tuesday. Today was Hermione’s first session after she remet Draco. Luna was more than confident with the pairing even though the other counselors thought she was absolutely mad. Paring up the goody two shoes with an arrogant priss was completely perfect in her eyes. They had so much in common it was absolutely ridiculous that they hadn’t see it beforehand. They just needed a little push in the right direction.

Hermione walked into Luna’s office carrying a brown bag of take out and showing off a pearly white smile. Hermione sat down on the couch opposite of Luna and unpacked two steaming chinese food containers, “Hello Luna. How are you?”

“I’m well. You seem awfully happy, is it because you went on a lovely candle light dinner with a certain blonde?” Hermione shrugged and took a large bite of lo mein so she wouldn’t have to give a detailed response. Luna grabbed the other container and raised an eyebrow, “Really? Because Jill told me that he sent you flowers.”

Traitor, Hermione thought. Hermione was in a particularly good mood and it wasn’t because Jill ordered her favorite take away. She had been in a good mood ever since her and Draco’s first meeting. She didn’t expect it to go that well and she actually wanted to see him again.

“He was just being nice, Luna,” Hermione replied.

Luna rolled her eyes, “So he bought you a massive bouquet and it wasn’t even your birthday. All you can say is ‘he was just being nice’? Anything else?”

“They were beautiful. I did appreciate the flowers and I didn’t expect him to do something like that so soon.”

“What do you mean, ‘so soon’?”

Hermione sighed, “In my last relationship, Ron only sent me flowers when it was a special occasion or as an apology. It just seems a bit soon to do a gesture like that.”

“Why do you think he sent you the flowers?”

“Because he wants to get in my pants?” Hermione questioned. Not that I would mind, Hermione thought. Get a grip, Granger it’s too soon for that.

Luna shook her head, “for the brightest witch of her age, you are really missing the mark.”

“Maybe he wanted to see if I was allergic-”

“Let me tell you what I think,” Luna said, “I think he sent you those flowers because he actually enjoyed your company and he wanted to show you that he cared.” Hermione opened her mouth to talk but Luna put up a hand to silence her, “I also think you’re scared to actually admit that Draco might have been a good match for you.”
