You sent Dipper home with Ford, Jasper and Stan, you wanted to take a look around the woods near by. Jessica had to be around here somewhere, she didn't know many people so she had to be around close by, you were doing your best not to think of the worst case scenario in your head which is something you did normally, but being back here in Gravity falls was bound to make the scenarios worse.
"Jessica! Are you out here?" You called looking around with your torch, that's when you found it. Her shoe, it was just laying in a pile of leaves, you picked it up bringing it to your chest and looking around more frantically now. Dipper was searching around the house in case she'd wondered home, Jasper was hopefully in bed and not doing anything crazy like his dad would have done and Mabel was searching around the woods near the shack. Your dress kept catching on sticks and mud in the woods but you honestly didn't care at this point, all you cared about was finding your daughter and getting her home safely and where she would be warm.
Walking towards the middle of the woods you heard snapping twigs and tiny giggles, you knew the gnomes were around from before so you just ignored it venturing deeper, you didn't care what you had to do or where you had to go, you were getting your daughter back.
"Watch it!" A hand gripped your wrist pulling you back and you screamed falling into someones chest and landing on the floor on top of whoever it was."For goodness sake Robbie, I said warn her not kill her." You opened your eyes to see you were laying on top of Robbie, he smiled at you helping your get to your feet, you brushed your dress off and looked behind you to see Wendy, you still weren't on good terms from before.
"Thanks," You said looking down at the trap door that you would have fallen through if it wasn't for them, you looked back up at Robbie and then started walking forwards again, around the hole.
"She'll be here somewhere, Wendy and me have been looking as well but we keep going in circles." Robbie whispered looking at Wendy and then at you, both of you were silent neither of you wanting to say the wrong thing to one another.
"How you and Dipper did this in your younger years I'll never know." He mumbled, that's when you saw it, Bill's stature on top of the hill being hidden by leaves, you looked at Robbie.
"We should split up again, take the west and Wendy take the east. If you come back to the middle just head home." You said looking at them both, Robbie took the order and wondered off but Wendy stayed still, arms folded across her chest and looking at you.Even in the low light you could see you were getting a dirty look from her.
"What is it Wendy?" You quizzed checking your phone for messages from anyone at home, one was from Dipper a photo of Jasper asleep in Jessica's bed holding her favourite blanket. You smiled softly, holding the torch back up to see Wendy still stood in the same place.
"You shouldn't even have kids, you're not even responsible enough." You stared at her, not blinking just staring right at her as she said those words to you, you shook your head going to walk away when she gripped your wrist tightly.
"Dipper belongs with someone else, someone better. Those kids deserve better, better than the scum that Bill created in his lab." You snatched your hand back roughly pointing a finger in her face, your face was red with anger.
"Don't you ever! Talk to me like that again, my kids are my world and just because Jessica has wondered off doesn't mean you get to throw that in my face." She pushed your hand away dragging you up towards the bill statue, your dress dragging some of the forest floor along with you. She threw you down at the feet of Bill and looked at you.
"You'd be better off asking him for help." She spat at you, she rolled her eyes walking away and leaving you at the base of the statue, you stared up at it and shook your head. No. That wasn't even an option at this point, or any point. It was 3am when you finally walked back into the shack, the dress you were wearing was torn into bits, your shoes in your hand and your phone was dead. Dipper came running into the hallway, his eyes were bright red and he looked worried.
"I tried calling you." You dropped your stuff onto the floor before dropping to your knees and starting to sob uncontrollably, Dipper rushed to your side, leaning your head on his shoulder and rubbing the small of your back, Mabel was stood in the doorway holding a cup of hot chocolate and waiting for her brother to move so she could comfort you.
"I can't find her, I'm a hopeless mother." You cried leaning back and wiping your eyes with the pocket tissue from Dippers suit.
"We will find her okay, she'll be back soon." You nodded looking up to see Mabel, Dipper helped your stand up.You changed into some sweatpants and a tank top before you walked with Mabel up to the twins room, you lent down leaving a small kiss on Jaspers head and sat on his head since he was in Jessica's. Mabel sat down with you and handed you the mug.
"Do you think she's right?" You asked leaning your head on Mabel's shoulder, not taking your eyes away from Jasper in case anything happened. You never wanted to leave him alone again.
"Do I think who is right about what?" Mabel questioned, looking at you and then to Jasper.
"Wendy, she cornered me in the woods, threw me in front of Bill and told me it would be better to ask him for help. I was a bad mother and didn't deserve my kids or Dip." You answered looking away from Jasper for a second before right back at him again when he turned in his sleep.
"Of course not, she's wrong. She's...well she's been weird ever since we all grew up. Learn to ignore her, I did." You laughed softly and looked in the door way to see Dipper, he was now dressed in sweatpants and a t-shirt that showed off his tattoos. A pine tree on one arm, it was cute.
"Bill isn't an option." He said coming over and sitting down next to you on the other side that Mabel was sitting, you were right in the middle of the twins.
"I know." You said handing your mug to Mabel as she got up to leave the room, Dipper laid down on the bed his back against the wall, he pulled you down so you were spooning, that way you could still see Jasper while he slept.
"We will find her." He promised leaving a small gentle kiss on your shoulder,
"Goodnight." He whispered closing his eyes, you kept yours open, watching your son as he softly snored and turned over in his sleep again, he mumbled Jessica's name before settling again and snoring once more.A/N: Hope you guys enjoyed this little chapter.
