Nagkatinginan si Rachel at Kelsey.
"Shit! Don't tell me they're home already?"
"What are we going to do?" Bulong ni Rachel.
"Magtago ka?"
"Ha?"
"Sa closet ko."
"Ano?"
Kumatok ulit ang nasa labas.
Nagmamadaling tumayo si Kelsey at hinila si Rachel sa kamay.
Binuksan niya ang sliding door at tinulak papasok si Rachel sa walk-in closet.
"I'm coming." Narinig niyang sabi ni Kelsey.
Tumayo si Rachel sa tabi ng pinto para makinig.
Si Sara ang nasa labas.
Mukhang kagigising lang nito dahil suot pa ang pulang kimono.
"What took you so long to open the door?" Tanong niya pagpasok sa kuwarto.
"Uhm," Mabilis na nag-isip si Kelsey, "I was asleep."
"You were asleep. I heard laughter coming from your room."
"It was my phone. I changed my ringtone."
Tinitigan siya ni Sara.
"I may not be a litigation lawyer like Leah but I can tell when someone is lying to me."
Natahimik si Kelsey.
"What's going on?"
"Ate," Napakamot siya sa batok.
"Kelsey, are you keeping secrets from me now?"
"It's not like that," Sagot niya.
"It's not like that but it's something similar?"
"I don't know how to tell you."
"Tell me what?"
Nanginginig na nagsalita si Kelsey.
"That my girlfriend is in the closet right now."
"What?"
Nilapitan ni Kelsey ang pinto at marahang kumatok.
"Babe, you can come out now."
Bumukas ang pinto at lumabas si Rachel.
Sinuklay niya ang buhok gamit ang daliri niya ng marinig na papalapit si Kelsey.
This was one of the most embarrassing moment in her life pero kung haharap siya sa kapatid ni Kelsey, at least she can make herself presentable.
Tinuck-in din niya ang blue long-sleeved shirt na suot niya kagabi pa at mabilisang nag-reapply ng lipstick bago niya hinila pabukas ang pinto.
"Hi." Nag-smile siya kay Kelsey.
Alam niyang kinakabahan ito at nilakasan niya ang loob para sa kasintahan.
"I'm sorry." Nahihiyang sabi ni Kelsey.
"It's okay."
Napatingin siya kay Sara.
Nakahalukipkip ang braso nito pero hindi galit ang nakita niya sa mga mata nito kundi amusement.
"Ate Sara, this is Rachel. My girlfriend." Pabulong na sabi ni Kelsey.
"Hi." Lumapit si Sara sa kanya para makipagkamay.
"So, you're the woman in Kelsey's wallpaper."
"What?" Gulat na tanong ni Kelsey.
"I saw her picture in your laptop one time I was in your room."
"What were you doing in my room?"
"I was looking for the MontBlanc pen you borrowed."
"Why were you looking in my laptop?"
"Kelsey, relax. It was on and that's how I saw her."
Hinawakan ni Rachel si Kelsey sa kamay.
"Babe, calm down."
Huminga ng malalim si Kelsey.
"I'm panicking."
"Blue, I've known since last year. I was just waiting for you to say something."
"You're not mad?"
"Why should I be mad?"
"I don't know. Dahil this will add to Kelsey's List Of Disappointments?"
"Don't let Ate Leah get to you so much. Besides, Rachel looks like she really cares about you."
Nginitian siya ni Sara.
"I do." Sabi niya.
"See?"
Nakahinga ng maluwag si Kelsey.
"Promise you won't say anything to anyone. I want to be the one to tell them."
"Is there a bible in here somewhere so I can make an oath?"
Nagtawanan sila.
Binitawan ni Kelsey ang kamay ni Rachel para yakapin ang kapatid.
"Thank you, Ate." Naluluhang sabi niya.
"You're welcome."
Pinunasan ni Kelsey ang gilid ng mata niya.
"By the way, where did you guys meet?"
Nagkatinginan si Rachel at Kelsey.
"She was my teacher." Si Kelsey ang sumagot.
