-You are crazy, Lorraine!- said Lucas looking straight into her eyes. -You've been keeping that woman in our basement for over one year. She had a fucking baby THERE. And you just told to the father of that baby that YOU were the mother and I was the father. I love you with all my heart, but this...this is too much. I can't do this anymore-

-WHAT? Are you giving up on this? Are you giving up on US?- she couldn't believe it, she had always given him everything and yet, there he was, giving up on their life.

-SHIT LORRAINE! Can't you see it? This isn't US, this is YOU having your vengeance against your ex husband and his wife. Why? Just tell me why. Am I not enough for you? I've always done everything you asked me to. But this... this isn't fucking normal. You have to choose-

She sighed -Choose what?-

-Or you leave Donna free or it's over-

She looked at him like he was crazy -You can't ask me that-

-Actually, I can- he started -Why are you doing this? Why can't you move on? Are you still in love with him? Or better, have you ever loved me?-

She took his face in her hands -Obviously I do, I've always done. He...He-

-He what?-

Lorraine started sobbing -He fucking left me for that bitch one week before our wedding. Then he comes back because she didn't want him anymore and marries me. But I was okay with that, you know? Because I loved him. Then a few years ago he went on that goddamn island and found out he has a daughter and just marries the same woman he had left me for. It wasn't fucking okay-

Lucas sighed -Lorraine, you were already divorced, you divorced 18 years ago. And you, YOU, were the one that said if you've been together these years was just for the boys-

-He did. I didn't, it was just an excuse-

-Okay, I get it. But why? Why are you still keeping Donna and their son here? It's wrong, Lorraine. So wrong. You messed up, WE messed up. But it isn't too late, we can still make it better, leaving her free-

Lorraine wiped away her tears as she shook her head. -We've gone too far. There is no way back from this-

-This isn't too late!- He nearly yelled -We can always break her free and run away. We could start travel around the world. Think about that, Lorraine-

She thought about her plan. Making Sam fall in love with her again was way more complicated than what she thought it was and she knew she needed more time. -I...I can't... do this-

-Give her the baby at least. Lorraine, she's broken-

-Then, she finally knows what it means- Without saying anything else she walked away.

Lucas stood there for awhile until he heard Jake start crying. He went towards him and took him in his arms -I'm gonna make this right. I swear I will-

That night Lucas couldn't sleep. He kept thinking about Donna and how help her to run away, he needed to see he could help her to run away. Soon his mind says racing and all he could think about was her beauty. He needed her.

As soon as he opened the door of the basement she quickly opened her eyes and murmured something. He carefully closed the door and walked towards her.

-Shh- he said putting his hand on her mouth when he saw she was going to say something
-I want to help you, I really do- as he said and immediately saw her green-blue eyes become full of hope.

She gave him a small smile -how?-

-You're so beautiful- he whispered, ignoring her question and putting his hand on her chest.

-What...- she stopped what she was saying when he started placing kisses on her chest.

-oh God...please no, please Lucas- she cried trying to move away

-I need you- He tried to kiss her but she moved her head away. He suddenly stopped what he was doing when he saw the terrified look in Donna's eyes. What was he doing? This wasn't him.
-I... I am so sorry. I didn't... I have to...- He quickly left the room leaving Donna alone.

She wanted to cry, but she couldn't. She didn't even have enough strength to. She just stared at the wall in the dark emitting little sobs.

One of us is crying.
One of us is lying in her lonely bed,
staring at the ceiling,
wishing she was somewhere else instead.
