Sam could see how worried Donna was, and he really couldn't blame her as he was feeling the same. They had taken Jake for some controlls and neither of them had been allowed to be with him
-Why is he still in there? Do you think something is seriously wrong? I couldn't take it, Sam...- started Donna with tears in her eyes
-Baby, calm down...- said Sam taking her in his arms -I'm sure it's normal, they have lots of exams to do...-
Before he could go on, a nurse entered with their baby boy.
-How is he?- asked immediately Donna as the nurse placed him in his arms, being careful with their IV's.
-Just as you can imagine he's malnourished and dehydrated, you always nursed him, right?-
-I did- answered Donna nervously -Is he alright? I tried to not nurse him when she had just put drugs on me but... it... it was the only way...-
-It's okay Mrs Carmichael- said the doctor placing a hand on her shoulder -She kept you in there for a whole year, you are a very strong woman-
-The strongest I've ever met- said Sam kissing her head -But... physically she really is okay? Giving birth alone, all the drugs and... everything...-
-She has to take it easy but I believe she will be- smiled the doctor
After Donna and Sam thanked him, the doctor left the room, leaving the couple finally alone with their baby.
-I'm so glad you both are okay-
Donna rested her head on his shoulder -This moment is what has kept me going this whole time but, I was so scared it would have just been a... dream-
-We're together now, and this time forever. Whenever you'll be ready to talk about it, I'll be here. Exactly by your side- said Sam as he wiped away the tears that had appeared on her face
Donna slowly moved away to look into his beautiful blue eyes -I love you, Sam Carmichael-
-I love you too Donna Carmichael- he said as he gently kissed her lips.
A smile appeared on Sam's face when he realized his wife had fallen asleep in his arms while holding their baby boy.
-It finally feels right- he whispered as he placed a soft kiss on her head.

After a month, finally, here it is! I'm so sorry the chapter is so short and it took me so long to update but I've been really busy and even if the chapter was ready I felt like it was horrible bUt WHATEVER.
