You were out on your second date with Lucy. Things were going wonderfully between the two of you so far and you both really like each other. It was a little after midnight and Lucy had planned a spontaneous date; a couple milkshakes at an old-fashioned diner that was always open late.
You were sitting across from her on you sipped on your shake, both of you laughing over a really lame joke you told. "This is nice" she muttered after a couple minutes of silence. "It is. I can't believe I've never been here before." Lucy shook her head at you. "I'm not just talking about the diner or the shakes, I'm talking about this. Us. I've never felt this way about anyone before. It's just really nice. I like you a lot y/n."
You grinned at her and blushed a little. "I like you a lot too Lucy." She grinned back at you and reached across the table where she laced her fingers with yours. "This okay?" You squeezed her hand. "It's perfect." You didn't ever want this night to end.
