"should i go get ji hae?" i asked minhyuk.

"no, i told my mom that she would be staying there for a couple more days or so," he said and went back to his phone.

we sat in silence.

"are you going back to your house to pack your stuff so you can move in?" he asked.

i didn't know how to reply, because if i did go back, hyungwon would leave me with no other choice but to stay there. he would threaten to hurt minhyuk again, and i wouldn't risk it.

"maybe," i said.

"what do you mean maybe? are you going back there and staying?" he asked, seeming worried.

"i don't have much of a choice," i said quietly.

"what are you talking about?"

stress started to build up in me again.

"you know i can help you, haewon. whatever hyungwon is doing, i'll help you stop it," he said.

"no minhyuk, you can't. you can't help me, because you'll only get hurt. i don't have a choice, you can't keep getting hurt like this, you're always so busy and this isn't good for you or ji hae."

"what are you saying?"

my eyes watered and my lip quivered.

"we can't see each other anymore."
