"XANDER-"

I screamed but, it was too late.

I ran to Sky, even though I was just a few feet away.

Sky groaned holding his right eye.

I felt my face redden, the pit of my stomach become full.

Full of anger, anger radiating inside my body.

No one messes with me, no one messes with HIM.

I walked to Xander and low-kicked him where the sun doesn't shine.

"June! What the-"

"Get out of my house." I calmly said.

He chuckled, "C'mon June he's just being a-"

"GET OUT OF MY HOUSE!"

I pointed to the door and he turned around, footsteps loud and heavy, closing the door with a loud thud.

Sky was still holding his eye and I sprinted to the kitchen.

I opened the freezer, fumbling to get the ice.

Ziplock bags sat on top of my counter and I grabbed one.

"You've got to be kidding me!" I lost my temper trying to open the bag and when I finally did, I saw Sky walking in.

Quickly putting the ice in the bag, I handed it to him and lead him to our room.

"My head..." He whined.

I went to the bathroom and grabbed the Tylenol.

"Here." I gave him two and some water.

"What do I do with this?" Sky asked.

"Swallow it whole with the water. One at a time."

I sat down (gently, for the first time) on our bed and sat next to him.

He laid down and I watched him, his eye getting darker, my face hanging low.

"Come here." Sky opened his arms.

I laid with him, his arms protecting me from the big bad world.

"I'm sorry." My voice cracked slightly.

"This isn't your fault, Summers." He whispered in my ear.

Sky ran his soft fingers through my hair, "It's never your fault."

I felt more glum than ever, "I could've stopped him! I could've...but, I was too late. And he was too fast. And-"

"Summers, look at me." He whispered again, his voice husky and firm.
