Chapter 3

It was a quarter past two.
Maya was waiting for Shawn while she knew she had to discuss something with him.
He pulled up and then she climbed in the car.

"Hey Maya," Shawn said.
"Hey Dad. Thanks for picking me up," Maya said.
"No problem. Where to today?" Shawn asked.

Everyday it's a different location to where Maya heads and Shawn is her chaperone.
Which he loved.

"NYU. I need to discuss a couple of things with Josh," Maya said.
"Is everything okay?" Shawn asked.
"Yeah it's fine. I promise. I just need to talk to him plus I want an excuse to avoid the others," Maya said.
"Okay."
"Riley has a date so it's the full works tonight. She will drive me crazy if she knew I had no plans and I really hate telling a lie."

Back at NYU Andrew Perry and Joshua Matthews was at their dorm.
Josh was busy in his room with something and Andrew was in front.

"Hey Honey," Jasmine said as soon as she walked into the dorm.
"Hi Jaz," Andrew said and gave his girlfriend a kiss.
"Where is Josh?" Jasmine asked.
His room. I have no idea what but he ha s een moody," Andrew said and heard a knock.
"I'll get it," Jasmine said.

She opened the door and there stood a girl no younger than sixteen.

"Can I help?"
"Yeah. I'm looking for Joshua Matthews," Maya said.
"Come in. Looks like someone came to visit. I'm Jasmine and this is my boyfriend, Andrew," Jasmine said.
"Josh has mentioned both of you. I'm Maya."
"Let me go get him," Andrew said.

"He is probably on his phone or something. Sit down," Jasmine said.
"Thanks," Maya said and sat down.

Andrew barched into Josh's room to find him reading a book.

"Hey Bro. Maya is here to see you," Andrew said.

Josh's face expression was both shocked and surprised.

"What? Are you sure?" Josh asked.
"Blonde girl, blue eyes she did say Joshua," Andrew said and Josh knew Andrew wasn't pulling his leg.
"I'm coming," Josh said.

Both went at front and Josh saw that it wasn't his imagination.

"Hi. What are you doing here?" Josh asked and gave Maya a hug.
"Didn't you get my text?" Maya asked.
"I haven't checked my phone yet. Welcome. Riley driving you crazy?" Josh asked.
"When is your niece never driving me crazy? She has a date with Lucas tonight and I don't want to be the one sitting in a closet deciding for hours about what dress she should wear," Maya said and Josh laughed.
"Guys this is Maya Hart. She's my niece's best friend," Josh said.
"Welcome," Jasmine said.
"Thank you."
"Sit down. How is everything going at school?" Josh asked and everyone sat down.
"It's going. Riley says hi. She wanted to come but she had the date with Lucas," Maya said.
"What about some coffee?" Josh asked.
"That will be wonderful," Jasmine said.
"Please," Maya said.
"Drew come help me," Josh said and ghe boys stood up.

"So how did you guys meet?" Jasmine asked.
"We met at his niece's place one Christmas when I was thirteen. We had a lot of contact after that and now I see us actually more of friends then acquaintances," Maya said.
"So you guys knew absolutely nothing about the other?"
"Yeah you won't believe it," Maya said.

"Think one of you are lying," Andrew said.
"She's actually right," Josh said and gave Maya a cup.
"I got to know her during the summer of 2015. At the time she was fourteen," Josh said.
"You are three years apart?" Andrew said.
"Yeah we are," Maya said.
"And how do you push your differences aside? I mean. Surely you must have differences," Jasmine said.
"We actually do. But not much and both me and Maya have always gotten along very well. I think I almost come along with her better than with my own famiku," Josh said.
"Liar," Maya said.
