It was much later that same evening and Maya was laying in bed. Her parents had gone to sleep but she wasn't tired yet. She was busy reading a book which she had to do a report on when her phone rang and of course it was her dear friend, Riley.

"Hi. Everyone okay? You almost never call at nine." "How come Uncle Shawn calls my dad saying that I have to call you about a college guy?" "He didn't. I'm so sorry Riles. I spent the afternoon with Josh and apparently they aren't as fine with that as they said." "You and my uncle? How long was the visit?" "About four hours." "Four Hours! Are you mad? What did you guys talk about?" "It's not what it looks like. I met two of his friends and when we started to talk we couldn't stop. Point is I really enjoyed myself and that should be all that matters. But no. Everyone is on my case about it." "But you're okay?" "I'm fine. I have to go. I'll talk tomorrow." "OK. Night."
Maya sigh as she should have knew this was gonna happen. She can't believe Shawn went behind her back and talked to Riley. Maya looked once again at the time and then went into her closet. Of course they were gonna move once the baby is born but that's on hold for now. She put on pj's and then went to bed.
